So, believe it or not, this guy, Aaron Carter, the little kid who sung “I Want Candy” back in the 90’s, performed a concert of his After Party tour at my US College on Sunday night.
As we all piled into the concert room, looking at an empty stage, I didn’t really know what to expect - hell, I had to Google Aaron Carter to find out even what he looked like these days, after his ‘troubled teen hood’ had taken away his youth. After a pre-show of a girl who sung better than Aaron Carter ever could, a blonde, cut guy swaggered onto stage flanked by his ‘homies’, as he called them, and without a doubt in my mind, I realised that my assumptions of douchebaggery were about to be fulfilled.
Now, William & Mary is known for intelligent girls. Apparently not. As he entered the stage, piercing high pitched squealing began, and several girls began THROWING THEIR UNDERWEAR AT HIM. At this point, he started touching his abs and began to do a choreographed dance to one of his songs, which lesbihonest, no-one knew, which looked like it belonged in a freaking boy band DVD in the discount pile at your local JB HIFI store.
During the concert, at which he sung approximately only three or four of his own songs, two of maybe people actually knew the lyrics to, he used samples from Cut Copy, Kanye West, and RHCP, all I’m sure of which would be appalled to have featured in the background, whilst he suggestively danced and pointed to his dick.
I think the thing that struck me the most about the concert, was just how much of a man-whore Aaron Carter really is. I mean, I had this pre-conception about him to begin with, but he hooked up with about 5 different girls during the concert. I was fucking ridiculous. He just started macking on with girls for the sake of it. He dragged two up onto the stage and gave them a lap dance, and then made out with them, whilst the hoards of girls below stage level screamed and started crying.
On his Twitter and Instagram, he literally calls girls ‘babe’ and ‘gorgeous’ on an hourly basis, and as I scrolled through the Tumblr tag to find this picture, it became pretty evident that he macked on with at least 5 girls at every concert.
So after 2 hours of watching Aaron Carter being a man-whore on stage, he FINALLY sung “I Want Candy” (which was thoroughly enjoy, just FYI), and was really the only thing everyone was waiting for, before there was a mass exodus from the hall to go give ourselves a good shower and repent our sins for indulging in the lusts of our ten year old selves.
