It’s a little deflating to have been trying effortlessly to raise funds for this venture for the past 7 months now, and to have only raised $60. I’ve posted on my facebook, instagram, twitter, asked my friends to share and re-share, but perhaps I’m just not very good at this sort of thing.
Anyway, since moving into my home back in October 2013 I’ve noticed a high concentration of feral kitties roaming the alley behind my block. I have provided them with insulated shelters that did a wonderful job keeping them warm in the harsh winter. Additionally, they all receive fresh food and water every day.
Earlier this week a trap was donated to meI, so starting tonight I will be setting it out and tomorrow begins the process of taking whoever I’m able to trap to the Pennsylvania SPCA for their low cost spay/neuter services for feral cats. A single female cat can produce over 100 kittens in her lifetime, and it is extremely important to try and control their population, so more kittens aren’t born into these conditions.
However, I cannot afford this undertaking on my own and am asking for help via donations. If you are unable to donate, but want to help, please repost this.
