How are you finding Saintes?
It's...different, cheers. I'm from London so going from a massive-ass city to a small town is an adjustment. But I like it, it's charming. And I don't have to hide. Though I still do..
Top 3 bands?
Top 3 artists?
Ohhhhh god this must be what it's like to be asked about your favorite child! I will try, for you.
Bands: The Stones, the Beatles, and Pink Floyd
Artists: Van Morrison, Bob Dylan, and my queen Janis Joplin
Finley was making big purchases now. Or at least that is what she told herself when she brought a record player. Now all that she needed was a few records and she would have some nice background music for her silent flat. Walking down the street, Finley grinned when she said the music shop. Walking in she grinned wider. "Is there any better way to get people into the store than great music?" She laughed.
Well now, that was a nice thing to hear. The words got Abbi's attention right away and admittedly warmed her heart. "That's about the best welcome I could possibly ask for" She chuckled, sweeping dark waves back over her shoulder as she abandoned her dance to approach the other girl. "And I couldn't agree more. I'm Abbi, welcome to Moon Dance" The seer greeted, her own wide grin matching her new customer's.
Violet loved music, it was one of her favorite passions, so when she saw a music store had opened in Saintes, she had to go check it out. When she stepped into the shop, she heard Seals and Crofts playing and she tapped her fingers against her thigh as she walked further into the shop. "Nice place," she smiled to the girl in the store. "Is this your place?"
Lost in her own little world, the voice startled Abbi and she spun around, wild brunette waves flying around her. Sheesh, this was her shop and people were going to like..come into it. Guess she should at least attempt to be somewhat professional. "Sorry! Scared the wits right out of me there but that's my own fault" Abbi chuckled, approaching the other girl. "Bloody hell I love your hair! Is that your natural color?" She asked, with her usual mix of bluntness and nosy curiosity. "And yes it is thanks. Welcome to Moon Dance."

Biography:
Everyone loves a free spirit. At least, everyone but two strict, proper British parents trying to raise one. Abbi Westfield and her twin brother Preston never quite fit in in their exclusive little slice of London city life. When they were little and easily managed, it was one thing. But as soon as they grew and developed their own personalities, life in the perfect Westfield home was anything but. The only thing that Abbi excelled at that pleased her parents were piano and singing lessons…until she was old enough to discover Janis Joplin.
Abbi was around seven when she had her first vision. She touched her brother’s shirt and told him he was going to spill juice on it at tea, and mummy was going to be very angry. Preston of course laughed it off..until it happened. Angry that is sister was trying to get her into trouble, the little boy told his parents about Abbi’s vision, who in turn told her to ‘stop her silly nonsense and be a lady’.
As Abbi grew, so did her powers. Now if she touched an object, she could tell where it had been, where it was going, nearly anything. Her precious twin, having long forgiven her for the tea incident, was the only person that she could turn to for support. A barefoot daughter with a power as unmanageable as her hair was simply not welcome in the Westfield home. Abbi tried her best through school, but her visions became harder to contain as she and they grew. Music became her only solace, and the girl would lock herself in her room for hours, listening to and eventually writing her own music. As these lyrics were dark and occasionally made references to the voices and visions in her head, she was careful to hide them from the prying eyes of her parents. When her mother did find them one day and confronted Abbi, the terrified girl went off in such a way, finally giving in to the breakdown that had been such a long time coming.
The massive fight ended with Abbi finally making good on her many previous threats to leave home. Finding that to be a good idea, and likely glad to be rid of their problem daughter, the Westfields gave her the money she would need to start a new life. American, specifically Saintes, seemed to be the perfect place to settle down. A place where maybe she would be able to find others like her and learn more about her powers. Or maybe, at least, a place that would finally accept her.
Abbi Westfield is played by Lecia, 30+, She/Her, CST
What brought you to Saintes?
I was told this was the place for freaks and geeks. Guess we'll see if that's true.
What is your favorite album?
Fleetwood Mac's Rumors. Bloody fucking masterpiece from start to finish.
Have you ever been in love?
Nope...
Once and never again. I made a fucking idiot out of myself for nothing.
Describe your ideal partner
I'm only 23. My qualifications don't go much further beyond the size of his...offerings.
Any plans for the holidays?
May go home and see my brother, not sure yet. Depends on if he can make the trip worth it. And promise to keep dear ol' Mum and Dad the fuck away from me.
Moon Dance | Open
Abbi danced along the stacks of records, arranged in an artfully haphazard manner that she found rather perfect. The Brit had been in Saintes for about a month now, hunkering down in her apartment until her store was ready and she felt it was time to make her 'debut'. Or more honesty..until she felt she had her powers under enough fragile control to be out in public. Which for the seer meant a new pair of thin purple leather gloves. It was the only way. In the privacy of her own home she could fall apart if needed. But not here; not in public where anyone could see what a freak she was. In hindsight maybe the most humid city on the planet wasn't the best choice to be wearing gloves all the time but here she was. Ready for whatever the future in America would bring her. Everything was ready now; music was on. Nothing left to do but flip the little sign on the door to 'Open'. Welcome to Moon Dances, Saintes.
