Maiden of Glass
loyaldancer:
She heard the roar as well and was slightly concerned. Whatever it was, it sounded large and it may be hard to take it down if they were to ever come across it. Remi shook her head and returned her focus to the obstacle ahead. A pressure plate…? Wonderful.
“I’m not sure if there’s a way around this. None of the ledges on the sides look like they can be climbed on.” It’s most likely that the people who built this temple did that on purpose. Whatever was at the end of this must be super important.
“Richter, we’ll have to go through this. There’s no way around it. Unless we turn back and forget this, of course.” She knew that he wasn’t going to turn back. With a sigh, she went ahead and quickly triggered the pressure plate. Her blue eyes looked ahead and noticed what seemed like arrows shoot from both sides.
Great. Well, here goes nothing. Remi ran up to the arrows and tried her best dodging them. She had no way of knowing how to freeze time just to have an easier pass. So, here she is, flipping herself over them to avoid getting hit. However, she seemed to have miscalculated by a mere inch and an arrow grazed her shoulder towards the end.
Her hand was immediately placed over the small cut. “Oops. Be careful. One spot here has an odd number of arrows. It’s meant to trick you…”
She was rather bold, or maybe she wants to get the hell away from this place. Either way, the trap was triggered and it was time to get moving. Richter dodged each arrow and met up with Remi on the other side. His attention was towards her cut, however.
“Are you alright? We should get that cleaned and bandaged. We don’t know how long those arrows have been sitting in that trap.” They also have to consider other possibilities as well.
Are you going to steal the Knight of Time to have for yourself? Do you think you can take Iora on??
“I’m not going to steal her for myself. And what kind of question is that?”
guardianxredeyes:
“Woooow. And like an Asshole you take it out on her.” Did that possibly make him angrier? Why yes. It did. “You know Richter. You have the Luxury to avoid people you dislike.” The light blue orb on the staff shone slightly and a simple wave of the staff and he made ice appear from the ground up to Richters knees and gave a solid stab with the staff at Richter’s chest. He doesn’t care if the man breaks his ankles. He’s sure Remi has suffered more than a single broken bone.
“And instead you drag them out in the middle of nowhere with no one to help, and have them be your lap dogs in remote places… Tell me. Do you get off on other people’s pain, or has too many years being humans’ guinea pig rot your brain?”
He is aware that he could avoid people he dislikes, but again he is just so confused when it comes to that woman. Does he want to be her friend? Does he want to be her enemy? Yet he couldn’t think of that any further as his legs were stuck in ice.
Richter’s breath hitched a bit with the pressure of the staff against his chest. “I never enjoy other people’s pain. I like to think we’re both being benefited from these types of quests. ...Ask that vixen of yours about this...”

loyaldancer:
Remi is pretty sure Iora is proud. “Mythology is one of my interests. Besides, I think it is important to know history of mythology. History in general is just as important! It helps us further understand cultures and the Gods or Goddesses they follow.” She shrugged and followed him towards the steep slope. Oh? Are they going to slide on down to the belly of the beast?
“History also repeats itself. Best be prepared.” Remi casually bumps into him and watches as he slides down the slope. Of course, she followed after and landed on the stone floor of the basement of the temple.
Oh, now this feels odd. Something seems to be very off with this area as if… something doesn’t belong. She glanced at Richter, wondering if he felt it too. The atmosphere in here…. what is it? It also stinks.
“You open the door this time. It appears to be a simple lever. I’m sure you can figure that one out, can’t you?”
‘History also repeats itself. Best be prepared.’ Was all he heard before he was pushed down the slope. He regained his posture and before long, he landed on his feet. The air stunk of... whatever and it felt quite strange. He too glanced at Remi.
‘I’m sure you can figure that one out, can’t you?’ Jeez, can she be any more snarky? He huffed and pulled down the lever and watched as the door opened. In front was a pressure plate and he noticed that there was no way around that either. Maybe they can trick it?
Though there seemed to be a roar in the distance. He couldn’t quite make out what that was and hoped that it wouldn’t come any closer quite yet. Having whatever it is catch them now wouldn’t be entirely in their favor.
Are you going to steal the Knight of Time to have for yourself? Do you think you can take Iora on??
“I’m not going to steal her for myself. And what kind of question is that?”
guardianxredeyes:
Seriously. Iora couldn’t believe he was asking why he thought so. Either Richter legitimately didn’t know himself or was being an ass who didn’t want to admit it. Iora merely gave him an unamused look while spinning the Staff again in his hand.
“It’s dangerous to bore a Summon Spirit with such obvious questions.” Of course, that warning only applies to normal summon spirits much much older than Iora, but Richter didn’t need to know that.
Maybe he should smack him again. Or perhaps Eliminate him from Remi’s life due permanent by dropping him into the emptiness within a timeline. Was Richter really worth that energy drain? Was he? No, perhaps not. He’ll have to suffice with beating Richter around. His grip firmed on the staff again.
It is possible that he doesn’t want to admit it, however he also really doesn’t know as to why he despises certain individuals like the way he does. Richter scoffed.
“Obvious questions? Right. Remi is the type of person to get on my nerves. Oddly, I can’t figure out why. I sometimes wonder if it is her personality or that charm that rubs me the wrong way.”
Maiden of Glass
loyaldancer:
Perfect. “With pleasure, Richter. You see, Genesha is known as the remover of obstacles. He is the very first deity many acknowledged first when the visit a temple. Now, he is quite different than what you expect a deity to be like.” She paused and grinned.
“He is a gentle and wise deity with an elephant head. Ganesh is pot bellied, has one tusk broken, and has four arms that may hold a noose called a pasam, an elephant goad, and a pot of rice, or his favorite sweets, laddus…His name refers to “lord of Gana” and his story with Shiva is quite the tale.” Remi paused once more and looked around, taking note of what was to be done.
Quietly, she grabbed the stick from the side of the statue and jammed it into one of the holes provided. With as much of her strength, she pushed and moved the statue to match the painting on the wall. Really, this puzzle is easy. Move the statues to have their shadows fit the painting. Of course, this wasn’t going to distract her.
“Shiva entrusted Ganesh, or Genesha, with leadership of the Ganas, but this was after some strange events. Now, Shiva is the destroyer of the world and had a wife by the name of Parvati. Ah, he’s also seen with a trident. The crazy part is, or rather the strange event, is that he cut off his own son’s head, whom happens to be Ganesha. When his wife Parvati found out, she was furious and Shiva then instructs another head to be joined with Ganesha’s body. There’s many sides to this story, but I’m sure you’ve heard enough.”
Remi continued to move some of the statues into the correct positions and watched as a statue with an axe swing towards her. It stopped only a few inches away from her throat. “Heh… familiar.” She stepped off to the side and heard the door behind them click open. “Amazing how some ancient tech works.” The young woman muttered.
To an imbecile, that much information would have caused their brains to explode. Clearly, Remi is smarter than he had thought in terms of history or mythology. Though, he wasn’t so sure on what type of culture this is or where India is even located. Admittedly, the story was interesting. “You sure do know a lot.”
Richter can also see that this could be of some use in away with time. “Hmph, he should be proud to have you as a knight.” Was that a compliment? Maybe it was.
“You know you could have asked me to help you move those.” The half-elf sighed and readjusted his glasses once more. ...Damnit, he’s interested in the other mythological tales she knows. But for now, he simply walked forward and into the next area of the temple.
It was dark aside from a few holes in the ceiling that let the sunshine slip right on through. Ahead of them was a steep slope and there sure as heck wasn’t a way around it.
Are you going to steal the Knight of Time to have for yourself? Do you think you can take Iora on??
“I’m not going to steal her for myself. And what kind of question is that?”
guardianxredeyes:
“I could have sworn you were acquainted with Raine Sage?” Richter’s bad then for underestimating people who prefer to run around with staves. He chuckled before time-shifting behind Richter and smacking him hard across the back of his head with said staff, another shift and back in front of the half elf again too– oop– Smacks him another good one across the face.
Oooh, Iora is in a bad mood if he’s making solid purposeful blows without apologizing. “”And what if I am dating her. Do keep your jealousy of how much she’s loved by other’s in check, will you.”
As a time spirit, Iora can practically take down anyone. Including this bean of a half elf. Richter rubbed his head and then immediately gets whacked in the face. He didn’t say a damn word as it had occurred. Maybe he was merely surprised. Oof.
“What makes you think I’m jealous of her?”
Maiden of Glass
loyaldancer:
She followed him and hopped down from the ledge as well. The maiden of glass? Interesting. Yet familiar..? Though she sure wasn’t in the history books she read. Ah! She’s so glad he had asked. She would be HAPPY to talk this guy’s ears off. Then he’ll have to suffer.
“Oh, you know. The tale of Ganesha and Shiva in India to Inca mythology of Peru. I’m familiar with most mythologies, actually. I do say, they are quite interesting and I would love to visit temples of each of them one day. Of course, not with you.”
“Fascinating. Tell me more.” He stated sarcastically and continued to walk on. Though, he stopped once he had approached another statue of the maiden of glass. Somehow, this one is entirely different. It looked like it could move. Is this a puzzle of some sort? Who knew they’d run into one so early.
“Hm.” He hummed lightly and scanned the room for any clues that could explain how this puzzle works.

“She isn’t yours just because she’s your knight. Fine, go ahead. Enlighten me.”
“No. I wouldn’t Claim her if she was just my knight. You’d need a mind of a neanderthal to think that.” He’s insulting him now. “But very well.” He brings out the multi-gemed staff, obviously not taking Richter seriously with the club Staff. He uses the staff to deal with all enemies which means; Richter is nothing more than a small nuisance to Iora.
What an insult. It hurt his feelings so much he’s not crying. He merely rolled his eyes. “Great, you’re dating her.” Richter didn’t seem too thrilled to hear of such news. He’s neither happy nor jealous.
Disgusted? Maybe.
“Oh boy, a staff. What are you going to do? Bore me to death?”

A smile formed on her lips as the sword swung right towards him. Sadly, he dodged it, but his reaction was absolutely wonderful. “I don’t have to tell you anything. Perhaps you should be more careful?”
Remi again brushed him aside and walked into the temple. Hm, it did feel a bit strange. Maybe it was just the dusty air? Blue eyes scanned the long, empty hall and glanced from left to right. There’s one room on left and none on the right. Okay, that makes picking a little easier.
However, the statue of a woman at the end of the hall drew her attention. She appeared to be crying… “Tell me what’s the lore on this place? I’m not entirely familiar with it.”
Remi is most definitely a brat. “Tch, the snark ruins your sickly looking face.” Richter, come now! That wasn’t too nice. You never make fun of someone’s complexion.
His attention shifted to when Remi went ahead and asked of the lore. “What are you familiar with then?” He asked before readjusting his glasses. “This is the temple of a maiden who was not popular with history. They called her the maiden of glass. She was frail, emotional, but one of the most powerful women in this world.”
Richter, this time, walked ahead of her and jumped down a small ledge.

Remi was sitting around with a book in hand. It was peaceful and she didn’t mind that she had to wait for Iora to return. Though today, she wished he were here because there was an unwanted visitor.
Richter.
The young woman shifted and sighed, closing the book she had in her hand. She set it off to the side and denied the request to come with him to the temple. However, he wouldn’t take no for an answer…
What seemed like a day was merely hours and in front of her stood a temple covered in vines. She didn’t want to be here. Nor did she walk here with her own free will. The jungle was humid, but it didn’t bother her as much as it did Richter. Or at least, she didn’t want him to know that.
‘Are you just going to stand there…? blah blah…’ “Shut up.” She hissed and shoved him off to the side. Remi made her way towards the door, keeping an eye on the markings it had. No, not the animal scratches, but the markings of a foreign language.
“I see.” She mumbled and stepped to the side. “Richter. Open this door.” It wasn’t so much a request as it was a demand. The likely that there’s a trap as soon as they open it is high…
Richter huffed and rolled his eyes. Shut up she says. What a brat. Then again, you were the one who brought her here, Richter. Her reaction is justified. To Richter? She was just complaining.
He again, sighed and proceeded to open the door to the temple. However, Remi being off to the side made him suspicious, but his time to think was interrupted. The moment he open the door, a large sword swung out towards him. Richter dodged it and glared at the young woman.
“You knew? Why didn’t you tell me?”

@loyaldancer
This was typical behavior of him. He snatched Remi from whatever she was doing and asked for her help. This time, it may have been serious. A temple not far from them had strange reports from disappearing objects, reappearing objects and objects that seemed to be misplaced.
What better fit to help him figure this out than the knight of time and light? Of course, he is aware that she hasn’t been fully trained with her new abilities, but something about her ambition and willingness makes her the perfect candidate. Heck, this could count as practice. While Richter himself is pretty good at solving puzzles, he’d rather Remi do them while he kept watch for any dangers. Hence why two is better than one.
Monsters and whatever else like to lurk within the shadows...
So, here these two were. In front of them stood a stone temple covered with vines and scratch marks from the wild animals who lived in the area. The air itself was hot, muggy and humid that it had Richter wiping his forehead with his glove.
“Hmph, are you just going to stand there or are you going to come along? I can always leave you out here in the heat, coward.” His gaze shifted from the door to the young woman he had brought with him. Typical.
((I go back to classes on Monday. No thank you.))
Bullet Overdose//Battle Royale
@loyaldancer
Something about this was oddly familiar, but maybe that happened in a different world or he heard of it somewhere. Eerily enough, an island in the middle of the world dedicated to the killing of young adults made him sick to his stomach. Here he stood in an abandoned building with other young men and women cowering in the corner from fear.
Up in front stood an older gentleman with a wild grin and next to him was a young woman with stark hair and blue eyes. Her left leg was covered in bandages as well as her right hand. On her back was a large gun and it seemed like it was there to intimidate.
Richter, however, stood strong and stared at them both. Whatever this is, he won’t give in so easily.
“Welcome to the annual blood battle. Where we gather beautiful young people like you to test your strength and will. You’ve all been good boys and girls, but not good enough. You’ll all be out in the wilderness trying to rise to the top. How do you do that you might ask? You must all kill each other.” The man grinned even wider.
Everyone behind Richter gasped and cried. What kind of game is this? Who collects young adults and tell them to kill each other?
“This is ridiculous!”
