Are Corporate Cricket T20 Leagues a New Branding Opportunity for Startups and Small Businesses?
Corporate sports events are becoming increasingly popular in India, especially Corporate Cricket T20 leagues, where companies participate not just for competition but also for networking and brand exposure.
In 2025, I came across a league called NICCL T20 where multiple corporate teams participated. Towards the end of the season, several matches were even streamed live on YouTube, and it seemed to gain a lot of attention from cricket fans and corporate audiences.
What caught my interest is how events like these could potentially help not only large companies but also startups and smaller businesses.
For example, participating in a Corporate Cricket T20 league might help companies with:
• Building stronger team bonding among employees • Networking with other companies and decision-makers • Increasing brand visibility through sports • Exploring sponsorship and partnership opportunities
From what I’ve seen, it also looks like the league may return for another season in 2026.
It makes me wonder whether Corporate Cricket T20 leagues like NICCL T20 could become a valuable platform for startups and smaller brands to gain visibility while being part of a competitive sporting environment.
What do you think? Can sports-based corporate leagues actually help smaller companies grow their brand presence?
