Anyone else has like... The inability to form habits?
Like normal people, they repeat something daily for a couple weeks and it sticks. They might miss a day here or there, but the overall habit is formed.
Me? I can push myself to do the same task daily for 8 months, forget one day, and it's gone. I realize 3 weeks later that i have not done it a single time since.

Bucky: I'm home
Bucky: can I ask you something?
Sam: I'm a little worried about why you waited until you were home rather than bringing it up before I dropped you at the airport today, but sure
Bucky: no, it's not a big deal
Bucky: it's just easier to text about
Sam: okay, what's up?
Bucky: why did you get so tense when madripoor came up last night?
Sam: oh, that
Bucky: yeah
Sam: I don't know, buck. do you really want me to get into it?
Bucky: yeah, I do
Bucky: really, sam
Sam: most of it is about you
Bucky: I kind of figured that
Bucky: I still want to know
Bucky: we never really talked about it
Sam: okay, that's fair.
Sam: I feel like it's not really that complicated, though
Sam: I fucking hated you having to pretend that you were still the winter soldier when we were there, and I'm still pissed that zemo used "not blowing our cover" to fuck with you where we couldn't do anything to stop him
Bucky: yeah
Bucky: I mean, it did make sense, though
Bucky: other things would have been riskier
Sam: maybe
Sam: I don't know. are you really sure you want to get into this?
Bucky: yes
Sam: okay.
Sam: look, for somebody who was so worried about the whole bar turning on us, zemo took a pretty big risk that no one in a bar full of people with access to the internet had heard about your pretty public pardon, knew you fought against thanos, or would do a quick google once they saw you
Sam: sure, other things would've had their own risks, but zemo intentionally chose the risky thing that would let him control you after the trigger words didn't work
Bucky: yeah. no, I know.
Bucky: I'm fine, though
Sam: I don't care
Bucky: that's pretty harsh, sam
Bucky: you're a shitty boyfriend, not caring if I'm fine
Sam: oh, fuck you
Sam: you know what I meant
Bucky: it made you smile, though, didn't it?
Sam: yes
Sam: I don't know, bucky. I don't like seeing you upset, and I don't like it when people fuck with you.
Bucky: yeah, fucking with me is your job
Sam: are the jokes your way of saying "hey sorry I'm making you talk about this but I do still want the answers"?
Bucky: yes
Bucky: is it helping?
Sam: yes
Sam: fuck, I miss you
Bucky: I miss you, too
Bucky: how did you know I was upset?
Sam: basic logic?
Bucky: besides that
Sam: I don't know
Sam: I don't usually see you choking people or throwing things at the wall so hard they shatter
Bucky: yeah.
Bucky: sorry.
Bucky: did I scare you?
Sam: no, I just was worried about you
Sam: I wasn't scared
Bucky: why not?
Bucky: most people would be scared
Bucky: that's why I don't do it
Sam: something you need to talk about?
Bucky: what do you mean?
Sam: well, if you've got a deep desire to choke random people out, seems like something like maybe we should talk about
Bucky: oh ffs sam
Sam: I'm serious, buck
Sam: I'm captain america, I'm anti-non consensual choking
Sam: and if we're talking you wanting to do some mass consensual choking, I've got a few other things to say
Bucky: I just snorted seltzer up my nose
Bucky: I promise that the only person I'd do consensual choking with is you
Sam: you really know how to romance a guy
Bucky: you know what I mean, though
Bucky: I try not to let people see when I'm annoyed in general, because the winter soldier thing makes it scary
Sam: I do know what you meant, but I also love making you laugh and snort seltzer up your nose
Bucky: you succeeded
Bucky: why didn't it scare you, though?
when your boyfriend keeps sending you fics of you doing the pining sometimes you have to take matters into your own hands by @abhorsenbranwen
Bucky is still annoyed that Sam keeps sending him fanfiction where Bucky is pining over Sam in a thoroughly pathetic way, so he decides to write one where Sam is pining over him instead.
winterfalconweek2k21 at @winterfalconweek day 7: love languages | tysm to scullystwin42 for the header!
When Sam Wilson woke up one Saturday morning, he knew that there were two things missing.
One of them was his devilishly attractive partner with blue eyes that Sam wanted to do canonballs into. Bucky Barnes was in Brooklyn, which Sam didn't think was a very good place for him compared to some of the alternatives. Mostly wherever Sam was was the place he felt that Bucky should be, but Bucky was inconvenient and didn't always cooperate.
Sam would have liked to get annoyed at him, but every time he started to, he would pick up his phone and see Bucky's smiling face on his lock screen, and then he either forget why he was annoyed or forget that he was annoyed at all.
In person, of course, Sam couldn't stay mad at Bucky. He'd given up even trying, because when he did, he just ended up itching to run his fingers through Bucky's hair and offer him a back massage. Sometimes he couldn't resist offering it. He wasn't sure whether it was better or worse that Bucky always agreed immediately.
On one hand, it got Sam's hopes up that maybe one day, they could be more, which could be frustrating. On the other hand, he liked feeling his supersoldier's broad and muscled shoulders under his hands and watching Bucky's vibranium arm twitch as Sam found all the pressure points to make him groan in very attractive ways.
It all made Sam want to lean down and brush his lips across Bucky's neck, to see if that would make him react more.
These days were really trying his self-control, because when Bucky was visiting him, he always slept in Sam's bed. So exactly where Sam wanted him, just not necessarily doing all the things Sam wanted him to be doing.
He was doing most of those things, because he was like catnip to Sam without even trying, but not all of them.
The other thing that was missing for Sam was a kitten, which sucked because kittens were cute enough to distract him even from Bucky Barnes.
the moment when you find snarky-angsty-suggestive fanfiction about you and your boyfriend by @abhorsenbranwen
Bucky complained that the last fic that Sam sent him had too much pining!Bucky in it, so Sam sends him this:
Sam is caught up in some of the darkness in his head, and he'd really, really prefer to snark about it than talk about it. Bucky eventually finds a different way to help.
something lurking in the woods prompt for the @sambuckylibrary’s halloween event 2021 | tysm to scullystwin42 for the header!
meet me in the woods tonight (fic within a fic)
The thing about Sam Wilson (aside from his rugged wit and sharp good looks) was that he was good at burying upsetting things deep in the metaphorical woods where the metaphorical sun didn't shine.
Which was good, because Sam had encountered a lot of upsetting things in his medium-length life.
He heard footsteps, and a sometimes-aggrevating-but-only-rarely-upsetting-by-the-time-his-very-long-life-hit-centenarian-status man appeared at the bottom of the stairs. He looked like he was in desperate need of coffee, which was good, because coffee was Sam's specialty.
Well, coffee was one of Sam's specialties. He had many. For example, he was also so good at flying that he could use a shield that saw the laws of physics and said "hold my beer" while he was doing it. He also had it on good authority (his sister) and dubious authority (his currently-bleary-eyed partner) that he was quite good at inspiring speeches.
Sam had decided to trust his sister and write Bucky's perspective off to the "broken clock is right twice a day" phenomenon.
When Sam looked up from the coffee maker, he saw his partner's piercing blue eyes on him, and he mentally upgraded Bucky Barnes from a straightforward broken clock that was right twice a day to an annoying clock that just didn't run correctly and was haphazardly right an unpredictable amount of the time.
In other words, his partner would have been like catnip if Sam was a cat. Since he wasn't, probably "hopelessly in love" was the best way to describe it without straying into thoughts that were probably better kept to when he was alone.
Not that he got much time alone these days. He wasn't quite sure how it had happened (though he was almost positive it was his fault), but sometime over the past few months, Bucky had stopped sleeping on the couch when he visited and started sleeping in Sam's room with him.
Bucky did not sleep in much, which didn't really help keep inconvenient thoughts at bay. His tendency to curl up against Sam while they slept made it worse, and Sam would have really liked to fast forward through this part to the part where the cuddling escalated and the "not much" turned into nothing at all. Mostly because he wanted to, and maybe a little because it would also add another few metaphorical layers of canopy above the metaphorical graveyard of "upsetting things that Sam Wilson desperately wanted to avoid."
"Are you okay?" His partner's voice was something approaching husky. (Or maybe just sleepy, and Sam's mind was just closer gutter-adjacent because they'd woken up that morning to find that they'd started cuddling in their sleep and then proceeded to take twenty minutes to disentangle their limbs.)
"Fine," Sam said, passing him a mug. There was a foam heart in it, because Bucky always got a foam heart when Sam's passion for coffee really took over. He wasn't sure if his efforts were actually appreciated where the heart was concerned, but it made him feel better. It was kind of like saying "I love you" and then running away before the other person could respond, except that it was infinitely less alarming to the people around him.
Bucky took a sip of coffee. "You don't look okay."
"I didn't say I was okay, I said I was fine."
Sam wondered whether Bucky would call him out on his willful neglect of basic definitions. He didn't, but he did roll his eyes.
Sam's heart skipped a beat, because he really was entirely too attracted to some supersoldier with blue eyes who took up a lot more space in bed than two inches he had on Sam really entitled him to.
Sam was Captain-fucking-America, and Bucky Barnes was a pain in the ass who'd celebrated his 107th birthday this year who Sam just inexplicably really, really liked having around even when they weren't fighting the latest bad guys.
"Well, do you want to talk about it?" When Sam shrugged without looking at him, Bucky added, "And I like the heart. Thanks."
That did get Sam to jerk his head up, and he realized immediately that Bucky had said it specifically to get Sam to look at him - his smirk said it all. "Oh, fuck you," Sam said, feeling more irritated than was probably warranted. "No, I don't want to talk about it, I want to repress it."
"Didn't you tell me that that was the bad one when I said it and that I should be suppressing my thoughts instead?"
Sam scowled into his coffee. "I shouldn't have told you that."
"Yes, you should have." Sam didn't look up again, but something about Bucky's tone told him that the smirk was gone. "And Sam, I really do like the heart."
The exceedingly annoying thing was that Bucky was right, Sam had told him that suppression was healthier than repression, and it was true. For fuck's sake, though, hadn't Bucky ever heard of do what I say, not what I do?
They sat in silence for a few minutes before Bucky spoke again. "Well, what can I do?"
"You don't have to do anything."
"No shit. I love you, though, so I want to help. It's okay if that doesn't involve talking about it - just tell me what would help."
Reason #137 why Bucky Barnes was a pain in the ass: he had a habit of just dropping "I love you" into conversation like it was nothing and then immediately moving on in a way that made acknowledging it very difficult even if Sam wanted to. It was intentional, too, because he often did want to acknowledge it, but whenever he tried to backtrack, Bucky immediately changed the subject. Sam supposed that he could've slipped it in like that, too, but that felt like Bucky's thing, and Sam wanted his "I love you"s to be his thing.
If Bucky ever did get around to kissing Sam, he'd probably do it and then immediately change the subject and refuse to talk about it, because that was exactly the kind of pain in the ass he was.
"You're overreacting. I've just been a little off for a few days."
Bucky took another sip of coffee. "Feels like ages, but whatever you say."
Sam sighed. "You worry too much. I'll feel better soon - I always do." If he felt like being honest with himself (which he could admit that he sometimes preferred to avoid, on the grounds that the truth often fucking sucked), he knew that he was just pushing the memories and the feelings themselves aside - the darkness that came with them had a hold on him that was a lot harder to break, and it consumed a little piece of him every time he decided he'd rather bury something than deal with it.
Which was part of why he didn't really want to talk about it. If he was going to take excursions into the metaphorical endless night of the metaphorical woods in his head every time he realized that a memory was weighing on him, he didn't need to drag anyone down with him, including Bucky. Especially Bucky - he had his own shit to deal with, and while the man could drive Sam up the wall sometimes, he really did love him, too.
Even if Bucky wouldn't give him the chance to actually fucking say it.
"I'm fine," Sam said instead. "Talking about it isn't going to solve anything."
"Well, will it make you feel better?"
Sam didn't answer. He was fairly certain that the answer was honestly no - he was a big proponent of talking out your feelings, but his experience was also that talking really wasn't always the solution. And even when it was, it wasn't necessarily part of what was needed in that moment.
He wasn't entirely sure, because he also knew that he was good at hiding things from himself when he really wanted to, but he was fairly sure, and he didn't think he was going to get more sure than that.
"No," he said, rather than really get into it - sometimes full honesty wasn't really what the situation called for, and his partner with the stubborn blue eyes and soft set of his jaw wasn't in a position to fault him for that.
"Well, what can I do?" Bucky pressed, and Sam let out a groan.
The honest answer was that just going back upstairs and cuddling would have been a pretty solid distraction, and getting to the part where Bucky would finally just fucking kiss him would probably be immensely effective at pushing everything else out of his mind, at least for a bit.
Saying any of that seemed like a lot, though, so he settled for a shrug. "I'm fine," he said again.
Bucky reached out, and Sam let his partner take his hand while he tried to convince himself that he was suddenly very aware of his faster-than-it-should-have-been heartbeat for reasons other than Bucky's very warm right hand in his and the very visible muscles in his forearm from where he'd pushed his sleeve up to his elbow.
Sam kept trying to write it all off to supersoldiers just being annoyingly attractive, because he was sure that if that was true, it would somehow make all of this Bucky stuff less of a problem - he wasn't sure how, but that could be tomorrow-Sam's problem. Or it could have been if it ever became tomorrow-Sam's problem in the first place, but since he'd never had this kind of reaction to Steve and he sure as fuck wouldn't ever have this reaction to Walker, that particular bit of self-deception consistently fell well-short of becoming tomorrow-Sam's problem no matter how much effort he put into mental gymnastics that might square all of that in some convoluted way.
"Do you want to just go upstairs and - I don't know." Bucky's face was suddenly looking a little flushed, which seemed promising on both a logistical level and a petty feel the same discomfort and anticipation and anxiety about me that I am feeling about you, please level. "I could just hold you. Or something. Like we do sometimes, I mean. Or we could just be on the couch, we don't need to be in bed, I'm not sure why I suggested that -"
Sam couldn't hold back a small snort of laughter at the rushed I'm not sure why I suggested that, and the corners of Bucky's mouth twitched upward.
"Fine," he said. "Fine, I suggested it because if you wanted to - I don't know - do something else, it's more private."
Sarah, Cass, and AJ weren't due back until the following day, so "privacy" wasn't strictly an issue, but the idea of being in bed with Bucky in a situation other than "we're about to go to sleep" or "we just woke up" felt so promising that Sam definitely wasn't going to point out potential flaws in that logic. "What does 'something else' mean?" he asked instead.
His partner was definitely blushing now. "I mean, I've heard that massages are a great way to distract someone when they're thinking about things they've buried in the woods. Figurative or otherwise."
Sam wasn't sure whether he smiled again because of the suggestion or the rough approximation of a joke. It was probably the first one, but he could also probably get away with claiming it was the second if he was somehow wildly misjudging where this conversation was going. "I've heard that, too."
The blush hadn't faded, but there was a smile on Bucky's face, too, now. "I've also heard that kissing can help with that, too. You know, in a purely therapeutic sense, and since I do want to be a good partner..."
Sam felt that his racing heart was now quite understandable and that no one could really judge him for it if they were somehow paying attention to what his heart was doing in his own kitchen, which seemed unlikely.
Well, other than Bucky, Bucky was probably paying attention, but he'd fucking said it, not Sam, so Sam felt like he was on very firm ground in thinking that Bucky had no business judging him. "That sounds like it would help," he agreed. "If you wanted to be a great partner, though, I'd also -"
Bucky had shoved his chair back and started pulling Sam toward the stairs before he could finish the sentence.
"I might be hard to distract," Sam warned him as they emerged onto the second floor. The way Bucky's grip on his hand had tightened was making him tingle with anticipation. "I've been spending a lot of time in the metaphorical woods lately."
His back hit the wall with a thud as Bucky's lips - and just a tiny hint of teeth - found his neck. "I think I'm up to the challenge," he murmured in Sam's ear.

the moment when you find fluffy fanfiction of you and your boyfriend taking a couple's hayride by @abhorsenbranwen
The internet is reacting to the revelation that Sam and Bucky are together by taking to AO3. Sam can't help reading and sending Bucky "Just a Couple's Hayride" after he reads this summary:
Bucky is in love and overthinking things when he invites Sam on a couple's hayride.
hayride prompt for the @sambuckylibrary's halloween event 2021 | tysm to scullystwin42 for the header!
just a couple's hayride (fic within a fic)
"Sam," Bucky says, "I was thinking."
"What were you thinking about, Buck?"
That I love you, Bucky thinks, but very pointedly does not say. After all, he has no idea whether Sam feels that way, too. He'd been pretty open about his feelings in an interview he'd given in August, but while Sam definitely hadn't rejected him or changed how he acted after reading the interview, he hasn't really escalated things since then, either.
Sam is usually on top of things. Insightful. That's one of the things Bucky really loves about him. But maybe he has a blind spot where people having feelings for him is concerned. Maybe he just doesn't like men.
Maybe Bucky's still just too much of a mess. That also seems plausible.
Who knew? There could be many reasons.
It's particularly annoying that he can't get drunk as some kind of transparent cover layered with a thin veil of plausible deniability, and he sort of wishes he'd never told anyone that. (Of course, Steve had spilled that particular piece of information to the modern world with no regard for the minor inconvenience it would create for Bucky more than a decade later, so this is probably really on Steve, anyway.)
"You know how Halloween is tomorrow?"
That was a silly question. Of course Sam knows that Halloween is tomorrow. AJ and Cass have been talking about it since Bucky arrived. Sam's even been helping them on their costumes, though he's refusing to let AJ borrow his shield or let Cass borrow his wings.
Sam doesn't call him on this admittedly ridiculous comment, though. Instead, he just says, "Yeah?"
Bucky swallows. "Well - so - after the trick-or-treating, obviously - I mean - do you - I just saw this hayride thing -"
He doesn't mention that it's being advertised as a fun couple activity. They're a couple of guys, anyway, that's cover if he needs it.
It occurs to him that he should possibly be thinking less about cover and more about what he's going to say to Sam once he starts saying something.
If he manages to say something at all. He's not convinced that he will - he's been putting it off for months, what's a little longer? Maybe he can say something when Sam drops him off at the airport, then he'll have a built-in getaway. (Except, a voice inside him says, you're going to be really pissed off if you do that, the answer is yes, he has feelings for you, too, but you have a fucking flight to catch.)
He's also considered just saying it and immediately walking away, but that seems possibly passive-aggressive. Or just cowardly.
Bucky doesn't want to be a coward, he just also doesn't want to talk about his feelings for his partner.
"Sure," Sam says. He's very quick to agree to this, which Bucky feels like is either evidence that he's not feeling it and doesn't want to give Bucky an opening to say something more or is really feeling it quite a lot and is very keen to do a couple's hayride.
It’s very unclear. He considers asking Sarah, but asking Sam's sister about Sam's feelings seems like a sure way for the information to get back to Sam in a thoroughly middle-school way, and Bucky would like to avoid that if at all possible.
It begins to feel a little less unclear when Sam offers Bucky an entirely unnecessary hand up onto the cart. Wagon? Whatever it's called. It's been a very long time since Bucky did something like this - the last time had been before the war, when he and Steve had gone out with some friends and Bucky's sister Rebecca. She'd taken a lot of pictures and written up a narrative of it - he wishes he could track it down, but it seems like it’s probably lost for good.
Bucky had been wondering where he should sit, but thankfully, Sam sort of decides that for him. He gently pulls on Bucky's right hand, and Bucky's more than happy to sit down next to him. He's not sure Sam meant to pull him quite that close, but he's more than happy to go along with it; he's never said no to being in very close contact with his very attractive partner.
The closer, the better, really.
Their thighs are touching, and Sam hasn't let go of his hand. This feels like it might be too long to be just a friend thing or a partner thing. It's probably too long, right?
"What?" Sam asks, and Bucky realizes that he's staring. On the bright side, Sam doesn't seem to mind - there's a smile quickly spreading across his face.
It accentuates his cheekbones. Bucky has always really liked Sam's cheekbones, especially when he smiles.
His heart is starting to race, and his left hand clenches around the hay. Fuck, he thinks. Fuck, fuck - "I -" he tries, and stops. "I - so - the thing is -"
Sam hasn't stopped smiling. "Something you want to share with the class?"
Bucky's heart hasn't slowed down, but he is feeling a little less anxious now. Sam is very anti-toxic masculinity, which Bucky appreciates (even if he still doesn't entirely understand what toxic masculinity is, he's gathered that it's really not great from context clues), but he’s fairly sure that holding hands and stare into each other's eyes like they are now goes beyond “anti-toxic masculinity.”
"Can I kiss you?" Bucky blurts out. He's not entirely sure he'd meant for that to actually come out, but now Sam hasn't stopped smiling, which seems like it's probably a good sign.
"Yeah," Sam says. His voice is soft. "I mean, it's a couple's hayride. We should probably do it properly, we're not just a couple of guys anymore."
Their lips meet, and Bucky tightens his hold on Sam's hand - just a little, not enough to hurt him, Bucky's always conscious of his strength - and when they pull apart, Sam's other hand rises to Bucky's cheek. "We should do that more," Bucky breathes. He's not sure whether he'd rather stare into Sam's eyes or at his lips right now, but he is sure that it's not really possible to do both at once, because he's trying very hard right now and still isn't succeeding.
"We should," Sam agrees, and Bucky leans back in.

I love your Questionable Communication Skills series, would you ever add reactions to after the Spider-Man Far From Home reveal? Both the classmates reactions and TCA? Thank you! :)
ohhh so this is actually a really fun opportunity to mention something i’ve been mulling over! 💖💖
technically, the answer is probably not, but that’s mostly bc i’ve been thinking that it would probably make sense to mark qcs complete in the near future and start a sequel series. i’m not sure communication skills are all that questionable now, and a new team captain america feels like a solid transition point thematically as well. i think that probably will make an appearance in the sequel series. 🔥
(if that is what i do, the format will still be the same and i’m definitely not planning to ditch any characters. 😊)
but seriously: thinking about how ppl in the west are OBSESSED with symbols and visual indicators and little markers and acknowledgement of identity as a manifestation of marketing and brand culture & as a product of this particular ‘late’ manifestation of capitalism, and how this has affected how we approach the marginalisation of LGBT people and liberation politics as a result
The ever-increasing number of ever more specific flags, the constant arguments and redesigns and all that other bullshit surrounding them has got so ridiculous, I mean I say it all the time that it seems almost completely forgotten that the central point of the communities they were supposed to represent was to unite us by the ways in which we are similarly marginalised, but the endless crap over which specifics people fall under and whether these specific microlabels are perfectly right or you’re an invader for using them and not something almost exactly the same, all this as if it’s the be all and end all of what the community is, it’s a great and terrible example of the signifier eclipsing the signified.
I mean, I’d like to agree, but the queer community kind of eats itself alive and I think these flags are a reminder that there’s more than just gay and lesbian.
Bisexuals are treated like trash, pansexuals are never acknowledged, queer members are actively trying to push asexuals out of the community, binary trans people are routinely harassed by queer TERFS and not ever considered viable partners, and everyone pretends that non-binary people don’t exist. And intersex people? I don’t remember one time ever going to an event where intersex people were even MENTIONED as even a “hey, uh, these people’s rights are still getting trampled over. We should do something about they.”
I don’t really like the commercialization of the queer flags but until the queer community gets it shit together, I’m all for intersex and onmisexual and demisexuql flags existing outside the other ones. Because cis rich gays, mostly white rich gays, really got cozy with the cis/hets when marriage equality was made legal and when the rest of us are kicking and screaming went “you hear that?”
I’ll take my demi flag and my bi flag and my non-binary flag, thank you.

hi! i put together a google doc of all the canonical events (and then some) in sam wilson and bucky barnes' lives. this includes (but is not limited to) DOBs, MCU-compliant comic material, and more. i made this for writers like myself that are tired of scouring the wiki/movies for info on them, but just about anyone can use it if they'd like :)
@abhorsenbranwen I am reading your questionable communication fic and enjoying it. I like how you did the graphics like it was a real text convos. Very creative!
I was curious if post-hydra Winter Soldier (Bucky) had some tattoos what do you think they would be.
ohhh i would definitely say he’d have a white wolf tattoo 🐺 and also probably something referencing brooklyn - maybe an outline of brooklyn or the silhouette of the brooklyn bridge or something along those lines 😂
As I've said before, I am in love with your Questionable Communication Skills series (+ tysm again for the incredible gift fics!). I was actually inspired by it to write a similarly-epistolary fic series with my idea of a Jewish Bucky. Would it be okay for me to list my series as inspired by yours? Good luck with your move!

picture: an old L train. these were retired... 10-15 years ago?
likes: 12 = L is the twelfth letter of the alphabet, the station is at 8th ave and 14th st. 08 came first here because the L stop is called "8th avenue" because it has five stops along 14th st before it crosses into brooklyn. (the ACE is called "14th street" because it runs along 8th avenue for awhile. same station, though, just different platforms.)
comment count: station is called "8th ave" on the L, which is the 12th letter of the alphabet
comments: the train is empty because 8th ave is literally the end of the L line - you'd never find an empty car like this at 14th st on the ACE. it's great to get on at the end of the line, you can always get a seat. also, "i'm with you until the end of the line" is a thing bucky said to steve (and then steve said to bucky)
third picture
picture: blurry sign at hoyt-schermerhorn (where the ACG stop) saying when the next trains are. (the signs are usually fairly accurate, but people often lean over to look down the track anyway. idk if it's out of habit or impatience or what.
likes: this definitely means something but i forgot what oops
comment count: 137 = the letters of the alphabet for ACG
fourth picture
picture: tree at the brooklyn botanic gardens
likes/comment counts: there are entrances at 150 eastern parkway, 990 washington ave, and 455 flatbush ave
comments: the 45 on a weekend can be a fucking nightmare
sixth picture
pictures: i didn't take these, but they're taken from the website for the black rabbit bar in greenpoint, brooklyn
likes/comment count: the bar is down the block from the greenpoint ave stop on the G line - 2 stops from the end of the line in queens. the b24, b32, b43, and b62 all stop within a block of the bar as well.
can i just say that I feel like it really matters that the first confirmed, on screen, indisputably canonical lgbtqia+ representation in the mcu is somebody who's genderfluid and bi, which are two of the groups that have historically faced significant prejudice and erasure from both within the community and the broader society?
*i know he's white and that lgbtqia+ poc have also historically faced significant prejudice from within the community, which is also a huge problem. i'm not sure quite how best to acknowledge that, but i want to make sure that i am.
