What do you find is the most confusing part about makeup? What would you like to learn about makeup?

Shades, shadows, colors, foundation, contour, highlight, drug-store, high end, and on, and on, and on...
What even..
Since when did make-up become so complicated? Hours ago I was watching a show set in the 1950′s (Call the Midwife), and I can tell you one thing. Lipstick, lipstick, lipstick, lipstick! It was a must have, along with that cute little pixie cut. But now the favored pout has taken a back seat (sorry for the cliche my English professors). It is one step in a list of a hundred. So for those of us who have busy lives it’s rather easy to fall behind. If you are like me, you sneak in a make-up tutorial every now and then and oogle the life out of those perfect dollies on the screen, dreaming of the day when your skin looks that good. You might even take a leap on one or two or twelve of their recommended products and buy something/s spoken highly of. For me that was my Sigma brushes (love, love, love). But then you use them, wondering what the hell the difference is between this one and the other, and you pretend to know what you are doing. When you end up with one eye that looks like you got clocked by the bouncer, you know you need to head back to those tutorial videos or makeup books or websites-- whatever your ‘thang’ is. So you watch, pause, and attempt to create what you are seeing. And next thing you know, you are Leonardo Da Vinci! Okay, not so much, your eye’s are still uneven, you’re makeup has clumped on a lovely little patch on your nose. Damn. Well, in the words of Jack Black, you might as well just give up. But you don’t. You want to master this challenge, because damn it, you can!
And that is what links us all in this circle of makeup bonding-ness! (I’ll think of something better) Haha.
So sisters and brothers, welcome to Makeup 101.
Class is now in session. (I can practically hear Mrs. Wall gagging on that cliche.)
