Thriller and Tex arrive 15 minutes later, on her bike. Tex has his arms wrapped around her like a lifehold, since he's not really wearing a helmet. When they hop off the bike, he keeps the grasp on her hips until they reach the door of the building.
Eagle hears the bike pull up and walks toward the stairs. "Come up!! You can park inside down there if you want!" He yells down and goes back to Gloom in the small kitchen, checking if his hair was done yet with his still-yellow hand.
He glances around his one-room home to see how messy it is, but decides it's good enough to have someone new over.
And then everything is blurry. He can't really see Eagle's face anymore. When his head comes up, Gloom's eyes go straight to the corner, where his sister lies dead. "No.." He mumbles to himself, feeling his body tremble.
How? They just left? How is she here? How is she dead? Heart beating speeding up, breath catching. Fuck, he is gonna faint.
Eagle forces Gloom's body thats getting heavier by the moment onto his bed, laying him down stable. "Gloom! Gloom, my voice, I'm right here! Focus on my voice, I'm gonna get you some water." He keeps rambling about focussing as he is forced to leave Gloom's side, rushing to get a glass and practically the last water he has. What the fuck was going on so suddenly?
As sudden as anything Gloom grabs his wrist. "It's here." He says, trembling.
The thing is close to his face. He can feel it's rotten breath. It tore her apart. He knows. He feels it. He is next. The low growl coming from the creature's throat makes his every sense shut down. He's frozen.
Eagle looks at him with wide eyes and around to nowhere. There's nothing. "Gloom, there's nothing here." He holds his hand tightly to try and break through to him. "Look at me. I'm the only one in this room. Close your eyes, what you see is not real." He takes his other hand as well, holding him and trying to meet Gloom's gaze.
