i think it's so embarassing and very very telling how indians online are only now taking the riots in manipur srsly now that the video is making rounds.. wtf is "i had no idea it was this bad" no you did know from the start it just didn't bother you months ago because you dont take victims srsly and think these things are a daily occurrence therefore have no relevance in yr life . it's only serious when u have visual proof (shared against the will of most victims involved which retraumatizes and dehumanizes them and their families forever) and ur forced to see it everywhere on your feed and only then is it convenient enough for u to consider it atrocious and significant .. it's so vile

Manipur Violence: Venting out...

These mainlanders be waking up now that Manipur is in total ruin and chaos, where were they since May? All these politician, actors, celebrities...where were they? It takes women to lose their dignity for these people to wake up from their slumber... shame on them, and shame on all who stayed quiet.

A child being burned alive in front of his parents... women being paraded naked and molested... homes destroyed... lives taken... Where were they? Now that it's finally trending on social media, these celebs are showing how 'shocked' they are? F*ck your shock and f*ck your sympathy I say. The centre and state has been quiet all this time, doing nothing and now you are showing your apology and condolence?

Like always, for mainland India, North East is just a territory, the people don't mean sh*t. Northeasterners are Indians only when convenient to you, only when you need to showcase your so-called diversity.

Manipur

I try to avoid politics in this space. But what is happening in Manipur, in North-East India is beyond reprehensible. I don’t want to say that people behave like savages or animals because this would demean savages and animals.

We are behaving like demons. Politicians are behaving like shameless demons who have no soul.

Men paraded two women in Manipur after stripping them naked, fondled and groped them, raped them and killed their families.

The Chief Minister said they have shut down internet services because such incidents happen daily. The Prime Minister broke his three-month long silence and condemned the incident but talked of Opposition States! Shameless. More shame to us who have elected them.
