I’m zin (they/it), and this blog is for gifsets and stimboards both original and reblogged! it’s currently running on a largely untagged queue due to my lack of energy, though I will trigger tag on request and may come back fully eventually. my main is @zinziinziiin and my far more active vampire: the masquerade stimblog is @stimisce

i find the difference between stim content from 2015/2016 up to today to be interesting

elaborating on this now that I'm back from the cinema:

older stim content (lets say, 2015 - 2020) was very much focused on traditionally pleasing content and "oddly satisfying" content all with a somewhat cutesy / clean aesthetic. think slime, kinetic sand, squishies etc i joined stimblr in september / october of 2021 and even then this was still very much prevalent, my earliest gifs and stimboards very much fell in line with the above. newer stim content however is more focused on personal aesthetics. it's very easy to tell a users personal taste in aesthetics and interests are just by having a quick look at their gifsets. to add onto this, stimboards have changed quite a lot too. in older stimblr, if you were making a stimboard for a character who was blue, most of the gifs included would be blue. no actual relation to the character (aesthetics, interests etc) just blue :) as apposed to now where there is alot more variety in aesthetics and themes for stimboards.
