hey-o guys!! two days into senior year and i’m dying so that’s always fun. anyway, i apologize for my lack of activity but i totally promise that this weekend, i’ll be on a little more. just between school and field hockey, my time management is so incredibly limited and i totally apologize for that. anyway i love you guys!!
stiles couldn’t wait. he just couldn’t. behind those doors, everything was waiting for him. or at least he hoped so. ‘ you can— i’m not. ‘ and with that, he blew through the doors, his legs carrying him into the lobby.
before scott could even utter a word, stiles was already through the door. with a small groan, he followed suit, taking in the building’s interior as he did so. “ ------ or you could do that. “
eyebrows pressed together, “really? i kind of expected a sort of DUMP like this?” coming up from behind him out of nowhere, her own orbs checking out the mansion, lips were pressed into a straight line. “i’m glad you’re here… have you seen anyone else?”
with a small start, scott glanced over at his friend. he quickly shook it off before looking back towards the mansion. “ yeah, you too. i’ve seen stiles and lydia ------ and allison, “ he said, hesitating before the last name.
“That’s one way to put it I guess.”
“ how would you put it then?? “
“Well you must have really high expectations then.”
“ that tends to be the way i think, yeah. “
“Yup. Use your wolf senses to run off and find her.” Lydia hadn’t really thought about the fact that others she knew might be at this place, but meeting Cora had send Lydia in a spiral of hoping that some certain people - Jackson - would not show up and make things harder. “Yeah, they do something everyone wants. But things like that never come without a price, do they?”
“ i’m sure i’ll run into her some time, “ he said, dulling his voice so he didn’t sound as interested as he was knowing that at least one of the hales was running around this place. it oddly gave him a sense of comfort. “ there’s always a price, that’s a given. it’s just a matter of what the price actually is. “
Hearing her name slip through his lips once again, her heart did a flip under it’s cage. No matter how much she’d felt for Isaac at the time of her demise, Scott McCall would always hold a special place in her heart. He’d always make it flutter. “Scott..” She breathed the name softly, a difference to the last time she’d said it. “It’s me..”
the second she said his name, his entire demeanor changed. instead of the hard look of shock and curiosity, his face quickly changed to something of relief and even a hint of gratefulness. without another word, he flung his arms around her, holding her tight. he gripped as though if he were to let go, she’d be gone forever. “ i can’t believe you’re really here. “
“The inside is more luxurious, and that being said by me means something. Apparently not only people from Beacon Hills got the letter. Cora is here too. And I must admit, for a while that letter sounded like Parrish had written it in one of his phases.” Lydia shrugged, looking around. “It’s alright. Nothing exciting going on, a lot of people complaining and looking for ways off of this island. I have learned the hard way not to wander out onto lacrosse fields alone - literally and metaphorically - so I haven’t seen everything about this island. It looks alright, little bit like it’s straight out of a horror movie. What worries me is that I have not met one single person who came here without this letter.”
“ cora is here too ?? “ he inquired, a bit surprised. he hadn’t seen the younger hale in quite a long time, almost felt like forever. realizing he hadn’t tuned out just a tad, he quickly snapped back to attention, tilting his head slightly. “ well, it seems this island has a purpose: draw people here who have lost someone they loved. “
“ ‘ve no clue what you expected but this mansion is better then that shuck maze i was in or the scorch. no clue what your situation was but this is extravagant.”
with a glance over at the stranger, scott scrunched his nose up just slightly. “ maze ?? scorch ?? where the did you live ?? “ he questioned.
‘ that’s what it says… ‘ stiles sighed, the whole situation turning his stomach far more than he’d like. but he couldn’t not come. they’d promised him his mother, erica, boyd, allison— they’d promised him everyone. he had to come. ‘ let’s just… go in. ‘
crumpling the paper that he held in his hand, scott looked over at his best friend. he knew that they both received the same letter and that it was huge shock for the both of them, something they both knew they couldn’t pass up. the promise was too good to be true almost. “ shouldn’t we knock first ?? “
Oh god she wasn’t ready for this one, for this confrontation. She wasn’t ready to look into the eyes that she’d tried so hard to memorize, she’d traced constellations in them as she laid dying. “I-it’s a mansion, that we all live in… I really don’t know what you’d expect though.” She kept her body turned away from him as she stared there too. running a hand through her hair.
as the familiar voice reached his wolf-like ears, scott felt his grip on the tattered letter loosen in shock. slowly, the paper slipped through his fingers as he glanced up to see someone he never thought he’d see again. “ allison ?? “ his voice came out in almost a croak, like he couldn’t fathom the single name.

“This is a place of death, I don’t think they put out the good china just because we decided to pay them a visit.” Lydia shrugged, though still smiling as she was happy to finally meet someone from Beacon Hills again. “If the dead are usually in your head this place is a big upgrade, trust me.”
“ place of death or not, the letter made it sound more ELEGANT. though i’m glad i wasn’t the only one from beacon hills to get a letter, “ he said, lowering his hand that held the letter and looking to the strawberry blonde girl. “ how is it here ?? “
“ so this is the place in the letter?? honestly, i expected something a bit more ------ extravagant, i s’ppose, “ scott sighed as he glanced from the letter in his hand to the large mansion in front of him.
