personality traits 

what a soft boi. 

geoff is what you would consider ‘soft’, he’s shy when he’s not on stage, and tends to stick to himself or his closest friends. he likes certain things that are considered “feminine” such as bath bombs, dried flowers, and candles. he’s all about self-care, especially when he has flashbacks of his childhood trauma. video games are his way of escaping reality, his favorites being the legend of zelda games. he also likes his nails to be painted, normally black but recently he has branched out and tried other colors.

it was a warm day in may of 1995, geoff and his best friend clay were playing outside in their neighborhood and it was getting close to dark. it was a common thing, the two boys lived in a nice area and their parents never had to worry. that day was different. 

a van pulled up beside the two boys and after promises of toys and candy, the two boys, even though they’d been warned about strangers, climbed in the back of the van. 

geoff was missing for a little over a month, thirty seven days and six hours to be exact. thirty seven days of absolute hell for a six year old boy. he managed to escape, the kidnappers let their guard down and he slipped out. his friend clay wasn’t so lucky. by the time geoff managed to lead the police to the house where they were kept, the kidnappers were gone and all that was left was clay’s body. 

geoff, to this day has nyctophobia, or a extreme fear of the dark, since the basement of the house he was kept in was almost completely dark. he can’t be in a pitch black room, or one anywhere near close. he sleeps with a night light. he also has a stuffed lamb, which has been and still is like a “security blanket”. he can not sleep without it. even though he’s been to countless therapists and doctors. certain things trigger memories of that day when he was six, and though he does a very good job of hiding it, his mind has recently gotten into a worse state.

tingle running through my bones, fingers to my toes tingle running through my bones the boys and the girls are in i mess around with him and I'm okay with it 

geoff knew from the ripe age of thirteen, when he kissed claire rivers behind the bleachers, that he liked girls. the awkward, lanky male was always crushing on some girl, and was the literal heart eyes emoji when he saw her. but when he was about sixteen, he started noticing boys as well. he started discovering how his body reacted around some of them, but he never acted upon the feelings because how society was at the time, he didn’t want to risk anything. what if he wasn’t really into guys? what if it was a mistake? 

but one night after practicing with the band, he and awsten were sitting around talking, something came over geoff. he’d always felt like he and awsten were more than just friends, he would get this almost giddy feeling around the vocalist, and without really thinking he leaned in and kissed awsten. it wasn’t much of a kiss, but it was all geoff needed to realize that he was in fact, into guys as well as girls. 

nothing ever came from the kiss with awsten, minus geoff’s realization, the two of them remained as close as ever. 

since then, geoff has came out as bisexual.
