I was unaware of who exactly they were attacking as it was left vague, and unintentionally sent more hate towards them. I dunno if this is a hot take or not, but I love when people draw aa characters with fun design quirks. Giving Phoenix heterochromia bc capcom canāt decide on his eye color? Lovely! Adding scars on Apolloās arms post-courtroom bombing? Chefās kiss. I know some people think that adding headcanons and such to fanart is cringe but idk I find it kinda fun!
ok listen, ever since i played 6-5 i can't stop thinking about that one scene where ga'ran's guard runs in and surrounds the defense with guns and ok ive watched the scene closely many times and this doesn't REALLY happen in canon (depending on how you see it) but phoenix totally steps in front of apollo to protect him from the guns without realizing he's doing it
i followed it from there to its natural conclusion to *what if* one of the guards actually shot and phoenix got hit??? not fatally obviously but was still bleeding from the arm or leg or smth and after the case apollo yells at him about why would he do something so STUPID???
just smth about the way phoenix's self sacrificial tendencies show up over and over again ughhh i love this idiot reckless guy who cares so unbelievably much
I love Klavier with all my heart but the fandom forgets so often that he can be kind of a dramatic asshole at times? And thatās part of the fun of his character! Donāt flatten his character let him have flaws it makes him a better and more interesting character! (the same could be said for how the fandom treats Phoenix at times as well tbh)
I absolutely detest Hugh OāConner. To me, he is essentially a worse version of Eustace from AAI2 (though I may be biased because Iāve been a Eustace lover since he was Sebastian). I think it makes no logical sense to make a character who acts almost the exact same as Eustace, go to the same school as Eustace, wear the same outfit as Eustace, is the same age as Eustace, and has extremely similar lore. It is my firm belief that Eustace was originally supposed to cameo in turnabout academy like Klavier did, but they scrapped that idea and just changed his name and basic appearance, which is why Hugh is inexplicably 25. Hugh is essentially a knockoff of another character where they tried to force a character arc that happened over the course of a game as a sideline plot in a single case and it worked out terribly. I also dislike Hugh x Eustace because it doesnāt feel like two different but similar characters, and instead the same person being shipped while people act like they are somehow different.
personal pet peeve but i hate it when people call athena and simon niece and uncle like is it really necessary to put labels on found family like that. this might just be because i don't like my uncle but still
ik that this could easily just be genetics but i fucking HATE how pale they made trucy. almost all of her bio relatives are atleast a little tan. why is she so fucking pale???????????
I've always been a bit confused as to why the stolen turnabout is so highly regarded? Ron and Desiree are fun, yeah, and I really liked Adrian's return and Godot's quips, but the actual mystery was kind of nothing with no delving into details. The second trial didn't surprise me at all, and there were so few witnesses that it just felt like arguing with Luke Atmey Simulator the whole time. He's just another kind of flamboyant culprit, I don't know what everyone sees in him..? I dont hate the case by any stretch, but maybe it's just me, or I've seen people ranking it pretty high...

I hate Metis Cykes. Seriously, the ending of Dual Destinies where they say āOh actually your mom loved you all along, Athena so itās all okay actuallyā really put a bad taste in my mouth because it felt like it was saying that the very real neglect Athena faced should just be ignored because Metis actually did love her all along. But even then how cold do you have to be to your child who can literally hear emotions for her to think you didnāt love her? Regardless of whether or not Metis actually loved Athena that doesnāt change the fact that sheās a terrible mother who made her daughter feel unloved, used and neglected and if she was that bad at communicating with her daughter she should not be raising a child.
i'm attracted to Apollo, but only when he looks miserable? he looks so hot to me when he's all bandaged up and angsting in dd. there's also when he almost drowned in soj and when he found out dhurke was dead the whole time. i kinda wish he would lose another loved one in the next game because of it, am i weird for that?
if i see another person refer to simon and athena's relationship by saying "they're so uncle and niece!!!" i will lose my entire fucking shit. GRABS YOU BY THE SHOULDERS HAVE YOU EVER HEARD OF FRIENDS. like yeah they're found family obvs but you don't !! actually need to name the nuclear family dynamic you want to box them into !!
(this applies to every other relationship like this in aa btw. yes every single one. ESPECIALLY if ppl use it as an excuse to harass shippers)
