Kent Parson signs 3-year contract with Bruins

lots of folks have been asking about the move since the news dropped this morning. i just want to say that i’m excited to work with my new team and i’m looking forward to hanging with my buddies in the land of four-seasons-per-year.

hey everyone. it’s me, kenny p. just wanted to say thanks to all the awesome fans who have been tweeting and messaging at me--y’all are the best and i don’t deserve you <3

if you don’t mind, i’d like to be real with you for a minute here.

some of you may remember that i have depression. most of the time i’m able to manage it with the help of my therapist and my medication. the last few weeks have been...rough. some personal stuff kind of triggered a spiral and i’ve been a bit of a vegetable outside of practice and games.

it’s not the first time i’ve had a slump like this and it certainly won’t be the last. i wanted to speak up about it this time, though, because i know there are kids and adults out there dealing with similar struggles.

my friends, ask for help. it’s okay to ask for it and it’s okay to need it. you deserve to get help. you deserve to feel better. asking for help is not easy (it’s actually the hardest part in my opinion), but after you take that first step to reach out it can get easier and easier.

if anyone gives you shit about it, tell them kent parson (captain of the las vegas aces and two-time stanley cup winner) says to fuck off.
