Alex mentions Albert’s band on their new record, Tranquility Base Hotel And Casino.

On the track Star Treatment, Alex, 32, sings: “‘I just wanted to be one of The Strokes.”

And Albert said: “I just thought he was just writing a way to describe his youth and reminiscing.

“It’s like he’s saying, ‘I just wanted to be one of them and now I’m an adult and I’m no longer young and I’m doing all this stuff’.

“You never really think about yourself like that so when you hear it you just chuckle.

“I should text him and say ‘Why don’t you have me open for you?’.”

When asked if he’d like to perform alongside the Sheffield band on their next tour, Albert chirped: “Yeah, of course!”

Bare with me man I lost my train of thought

I feel sad that my life has gotten hectic and I barely fangirl over Arctic Monkeys anymore. Nevertheless, my love for them is still undeniably there.

I see them live on the 13th September for the first time since 2014 and I think that is when all my feelings are going to hit me all at once. I will not be able to stop crying throughout the whole of that gig.

It’s strange how much I have changed over the past year. Working full time has really fucked things up plus being in a relationship massively changes my routine. In a way it is good but I can’t help but see myself becoming a lot more dependent on people. Last year I was very happy being on my own, listening to music and reading, now I find myself always having to be doing something involving people or my boyfriend. I hope this is all part of me learning who I am. I still want to keep in mind what is important to me and I don’t ever want to change for the worse. I must always continue to better myself, as should we all.

Like I have said before if anyone wants to talk I’m down!! I would especially love to hear what people’s fav songs are off of Tranquility Base PLUSSSSS I need opinions on Alex’s new egg head (bless him, Love him so much he’s literally living his best life) xx

Honestly feel truly blessed

This album is absolutely beautiful. I have no other adjective to use apart from beautiful. I’m not even going to write a massive paragraph about what I think because I cannot explain it. It’s fuckin genius, and anyone who disagrees and thinks it’s shite can have it out with me because they were so obviously going to write an album like this: Alex has been gagging to for years bless him

Proper amazing, anyone who wants to discuss it with me please feel free because I am totally down and in love with this record.

And yous probably don’t care but I think my favourite songs at the moment are: TBH+C, science fiction and American sports, but these will probably change soon.
