懐かしい/natsukashii
(adjective) A Japanese, untranslatable word, natsukashii is a beautiful feeling defined as a state of euphoric nostalgia. It is triggered by a fond memory, which causes a yearning or missing space in your heart. It is usually an emotion modified by an object, such as your old neighborhood, an old friend, or lover. Although nostalgia is usually correlated with a sense of melancholia, natsukashii is a sweet reminiscent that warms your heart.
literally: dear, beloved, cherished, sweet, missed, longed for, yearned after

women like me pray for little girls with skin like mine silent prayers when they pass by women like me pray for little girls with hair like mine silent prayers when they pass by to love themselves even when the world refuses to see their beauty quiet prayers for them to keep their smile even when the storm seems so heavy women like me pray for your daughters quietly, when they pass by.

Truth
Ijeoma, are you in love? Yes. Is being in a relationship hardwork? Yes. Do you write love poems for your lover? Every day. Does your lover believe in you? Yes, but sometimes I fear my lover doesn’t comprehend her light. What do you do on those days? I bathe her, I play her some Jazz, I fed her, I weep for her. Describe her in a sentence. Her eyes carry strength, her words scratch, she speaks love. Ijeoma, are you in love? Yes. Is being in a relationship hardwork? Yes. Who is your lover? Myself.

"The white man is very clever. He came quietly and peaceably with his religion. We were amused at his foolishness and allowed him to stay. Now he has won our brothers, and our clan can no longer act like one. He has put a knife on the things that held us together and we have fallen apart." - Things Fall Apart.
Photographer James C. Lewis of Noire3000 | N3K Photo Studios was tired of the Media’s White Washing ; so in a series of Photographs, depicted some of the most famous Bible characters as people of African and Middle Eastern Origin.
“I think it is very important to see one’s self in the Scripture so that it may become real in their eyes. The whitewashing of the Bible has always bothered me. However I’m happy to now have the opportunity to give a different point of view.”
The series will be fully released on the 14th November in a three night exhibition.
Yet hope returns when I remember this one thing: The Lord’s unfailing love and mercy still continue, fresh as the morning, as sure as the sunrise. The Lord is all I have, and so in him I put my hope.
