We’ve just found out that HBP is going to be shutting down come February.

We met on HBP on June 10th 2013. We still have a few of those original DMs on site, and I just went back to read our simple beginnings.

The site has changed a lot over the years. Our experiences with the site have been varied. Some good, some bad. We have met many wonderful people and friends there in our time.

But we will always treasure it as the place where *we* met. Perhaps one of the most unorthodox love stories, but it is our truth. And here we are, 12 years later.

Maybe someone will take over the site. Maybe this really will be its final resting place. Either way, we are beyond grateful for HBP as our haven and meeting place as cardiophiles.

This is mostly just an M appreciation post. I mean come on… 🥰 The most perfect chest for stething - with a stethoscope or ear directly on. His heart is always *so* loud and usually faster than mine…hehe.

I bought the absolute cutest dress at the thrift store today…but…suffice to say it’s going to need some major alterations in order for me to be able to wear it out in public. 😭 I didn’t think the fit would be quite this off!

However…figured I’d take advantage of the stethoscope picture potential before I send it off to a tailor. 👀 At least M is happy about this. 😂

Hello! First of all I would like to say that I find your blog very interesting and I really like your posts.

You had a heart examination some time ago (with echo and holter ECG). So good that your echo results were fine. May I ask what the holter EKG results were? Are you still having a lot of extrasystoles? I hope they don't bother you too much and aren't too unpleasant either. Thank you, and I'm looking forward to your next post.

Hey friend! So…I never got the holter results. It’s incredibly frustrating. The cardiologist’s office I did my holter with via my primary care, was getting ready to close down and merge with another practice imminently when I had it done. And apparently somewhere in the transferring over of things…they lost it?? When I saw my PCP for the follow up after the echo and the holter, he told me to keep waiting for the results of the holter, but that in the meantime my echo showed nothing wrong with my heart structurally so he wasn’t concerned immediately. And we just…never followed up with it.

I’d had holters over the years and they all showed a mix of PACs and PVCs. Primary care told me it was probably anxiety causing my skips. What a surprise. 🤷🏻‍♀️ (Even though the skips come when I’m not even anxious, most of the time.)

Anyway, I’m starting to think my skips are tied to hormones. They seem to come in waves where I have them all day for a week or two, then hardly any for a few weeks. They’re so annoying!

Pretty stoked about spring weather finally making an appearance this week! Had to break out my favorite sun dress, and also felt like this equally cute stethoscope needed some attention. Don’t know why I don’t use it more often - it’s got such good sound quality! 💚💙💛🤍

Cardiophile marriage problems is…waking up in the morning and realizing you left a Doppler and a pulse ox in the middle of the bed from the day before’s heart exam. 😂 Whoops.
