Back to the Book | Saix
Demyx listened. That’s all he felt he could really do now. If Saix truly felt nothing but he was still hung up enough to ask, there wasn’t really much else he could do.
“Look, man, Let’s go grab a beer or something. Sounds like y’need it. My treat.” He said, standing and nodding towards the door, “If y’feel y’need it, I know a guy who jus’ finished his psychology degree. Valedictorian. Won’t expect pay, will jus’ sit an’ talk t’ya about anything y’wanna get off y’chest. Other than that… let’s jus’ call the old stuff Saix’s memories. Y’gotta live with what y’got, y’know. Start… uh… what’s your name again?… Anyway… start your own story. Your own live.”
Saix blinked a few times. “I”ll pass. I have to open the store early tomorrow and I’m not a fan of drinking. “ he told. He glanced at Demyx. “Lunaris.” he told. “That is my name .”
“That’s cool, man. How about dinner then? Maybe tomorrow night. I jus’ hate t’think y’ain’t got anyone around who understands, y’know.” Demyx smiled, giving him a small nod, “If y’don’t wanna, that’s cool. No pressure.”
Demyx offered his hand for Saix to shake, “‘Lunaris’. I’ll try t’remember, feel free t’call me out if I slip up, k?”
