General:
(tw - divorce) Unfortunately for their son, Toshiro and Annie were never destined to be an honest love match and the couple divorced when Adam was only a young boy. While Toshiro went on to establish a new family with a new wife, Annie put all her focus into her son, so the two have always been very close. Adam sees them as a team. *cough* mama’s boy *cough*
Never one for academia because of his problems with authority figures, Adam knew university wasn’t in his future, but it wasn’t until a modeling agent scouted him while he and his mother were doing some shopping in New York City one weekend that he decided on a career path.
Though he was still in his last year of high school at the time, he would get a few gigs here and there. It was enough to get him a large enough of a reputation that once he graduated, the mother-son duo left Boston and moved to the big city with ease.
After a couple of years, Adam decided to buy a place in Silver Lake since he was hopping between LA and NYC so frequently for work. For the past 11ish years, he’s been back and forth between the two cities depending on the season and / or work.
A few years ago, Adam decided that his own recycling and short-shower routines weren’t enough. He wanted to have a bigger role in the fight for climate change and began to give his time and money to organizations that advocated for environmental rights.
Eventually, he became such a prominent figure in the green community that he began organizing his own demonstrations and clean-ups.
The last demonstration he set up ended up being on the same day and at the same place as another movement’s gathering, but since the two issues intersected, the two groups banded together. The large crowd drew more and more people in and ended up going on past the time the two demonstrations were supposed to end.
(tw - riot) Once it got dark, one thing lead to another and eventually a riot broke out. The violence has left a scar that has yet to be dressed in Adam’s psyche since it happened just a few weeks ago and he has yet to fully process it. Still, he is hiding out staying at his place in Silver Lake since it took place in New York and many have warned him that authorities may have a warrant out for his arrest since he was the one who organized the event.
Head Cannons:
Adam would rather awkwardly carry all his groceries in his arms than ever touch a plastic bag ever again. The idea makes him physically cringe. He also makes mental notes when he sees his friends using them so he can gift them bundles of reusable bags.

Big decisions are always ran by Annie. She doesn’t like most of his ideas so she’s contradicts him a lot, putting him in a weird head space whenever he does follow his intuition and go against her input.

Very much hates public speaking, but fights through his discomfort if it means educating people/communities on why it’s important to care about the planet.
