Do you ever think our digital footprints might still get lost, even in this age of constant documentation?
We live in a time where everything is saved — photos, videos, voice notes, posts, messages. Compared to past generations who had maybe a few photo albums or handwritten letters, we’re practically drowning in digital memories.
But I’ve been wondering: is it possible that even with all this digital storage, our personal histories could still vanish?
Think about it — platforms shut down, algorithms bury content, we forget passwords, formats become obsolete. And there’s so much information online that it feels like our stuff just gets lost in the noise. Even if it technically still exists, it might be basically invisible.
It makes me wonder if all this “saving” is giving us a false sense of permanence. Are we really preserving our memories, or just hoarding data we’ll never find again?
Curious to hear others’ thoughts — have you ever lost digital memories? Or thought about how to make your digital life more future-proof?
