they say we're going to hell let's find a cheap m o t e l and ( stay ) a couple nights. a n d when our time is done we'll go back on the run do w h a t e v e r we like.

minnie headed straight to the bar as soon as she was off the red carpet and inside the event, rolling up the sleeves of her green jacket as she leant against the bar. she’d already had a few drinks before heading out, but clearly it hadn’t been enough. ❝ i can’t believe i still have to deal with press asking me why i’m wearing flats, ❞ she complained to the person next to her, ❝ as if having a prosthetic leg isn’t inconvenient enough, they want me to then go on tiny stilts too ?? ❞

「 LAUREN JAUREGUI, CISFEMALE, 22, FAZERDAZE. 」┈ did you read that latest viral gossip issue on ADAMINA “MINNIE” LOPEZ?  she is the BASSIST in RØSES, one of my favorite INDIE groups. they’ve been releasing music for THREE YEARS now, but viral gossip has only been talking about them for the last TWO YEARS. get this, i think i heard SHE IS BATTLING DEPRESSION. they’re known as the ICARIAN, of the music industry, since they have a rep for being DEPENDABLE but ENVIOUS, but who knows. maybe that will change once they become #1.  ( EM, 20, GMT, SHE/HER. )

minnie grew up in cuba until she was seven, when her parents got divorced and she and her dad moved to chicago. she didn’t speak much english before the move, so she was bullied in middle school for not being able to communicate very well. to deal with the frustrations of not being able to communicate with her peers, she began learning the guitar and using music instead.

when she got to high school, she made sure to make it clear from day one that she was not someone to be messed with. because her dad was rarely home, she was always the host of the best parties and her popularity skyrocketed even though she wasn’t on the cheer squad or in with the ‘it crowd’.

she made sure to do the same at college, quickly joining a sorority and establishing herself as one of the go-to girls for parties. she majored in zoology, but never felt like she had passion for it.

during her second year of college, her then girlfriend was driving them home from a party when they were in a car accident. minnie lost her left leg in the crash and her girlfriend blamed her for the accident, so she felt like she was at rock bottom. she started to fall into a depression, but this was around the time that they formed røses. music was the passion she’d been missing in her life, so she put off getting any help for her depression as she felt like she was getting better without it.

as their fame grew, minnie became outspoken about things other than music; she spoke out about being lgbt and an amputee, but she was embarrassed about her growing depression. from a young age, her dad had told her that she was lazy and worthless, so she believes that that’s what she is experiencing.

now that she is back in the us, minnie is trying to fix her relationship with her mom. their relationship is still strained, especially because her mom has a new family, but she is trying.

minnie dresses and acts like she’s badass, but she’s actually The Softest™ ??
