For all those who just cannot seem to find the light at the end of the tunnel
Exactly one year ago, I was in such a dark place, I did not see how I could possible get out of that dark pit. the monsters in my head started to smother me, I did not know who I was, I hated myself and I hated every single day. Today I have my very own successful business, I am in such a good place, I have friends who love me, and I love myself. My psychiatrist told me I'm his success story. Someone who had no hope, made something out of herself, rose above everything, despite the worst odds, and I got through that depression. The one thing that got me through this year of utter hell, torture and extremely hard work, was thinking that I will NOT be a victim for others. I will be a survivor. I will be my own hero. And I was. I was determined to get through it, despite the extreme odds that were against me, i fought like hell to get out of it. And here I am, my dark thoughts are forgotten, I am excited about my future, and I am encouraging everyone to fight. Fight like hell. fight for yourself. It will get better. It's hard. but it's worth it. I aam living proof that even in the worst cases, there's hope. If you think someone might need to hear my story, please share and reblog. Feel free to send me a message if you need to talk. Be a success story.

I'm going to South Africa!
I got accepted to a study abroad program through my university in Stellenbosch„ South Africa this Summer! I’m gonna be spending a month just outside of Cape Town! I’ll be taking two courses: Politics of Development and South African Society. And I’ll also be doing a service learning program where I’ll get to teach young kids in the townships outside of Cape Town. And to top it all off, the last week is an excursion to Botswana and Zimbabwe where I’ll go on a safari, walk with lions, ride an elephant and bungee jump off Victoria Falls Bridge. An epic adventure awaits!
I won’t be going until May, but I’ve created a new blog that’ll be specifically for my trip. If you want to keep up with me while I’m there, follow it: shoresofthecape

Stellenbosch - Western Cape - South Africa (von Konrad Blum)
I can appreciate any horse.
-the legs on a thoroughbred
-the beautiful head of an Arabian
-the feathers of a draft
-the colors of a pinto
-the booty of a quarter horse
-the neck of a hunter
-the cuteness of a pony
-many more.
Every horse is special and I don’t understand why some people cant see it. Just because you’ve never ridden/shown that breed of horse, doesn’t make them a lesser breed.
American Quarter horse (x)(x)
The quarter horse is one of the oldest recognised breeds in the United States. It dates back to the early 1600s, where its foundation was laid by native horses of Spanish origin and English horses imported to Virginia.

Its name derived from its ability to outrun all other horses in races of a quarter mile or less, thus creating its reputation as the best sprinter around. This reputation is still alive today, and you will find that the quarter horse is a popular choice in everything from western riding to English disciplines and driving.
The American Quarter Horse Association is the largest breed registry in the world, with more than 5 million Quarter Horses registered.
Really tired of seeing people posting photos and feeling the need to justify their equitation (ie: please excuse my leg, it’s like that because ____) when it’s less than perfect.
The only people who need to excuse themselves are the ones who are such horrible people that they feel the need to be rude to those who have mistakes but still choose to share photos.
Agreed. Nobody is perfect. We are all still learning no matter what level we currently ride at.
