I think Alaric is also the kind of guy Adela would’ve had a crush on/wanted to marry before she set her sights on the royal boys/wardens (also to be fair, I feel like Adela was a RAGING flirt like damnnnn she was the Cordelia of her generation except with a definite agenda to get herself the best husband she could and a LOT more sexual awareness tbqh).  Bc, now correct me if I’m wrong, (I might just have this in my head bc Dmitrei has a council seat or something idk,) if I’m not mistaken, the de Montfort lands/power are pr extensive, yeah?  And with his land and influence and her Beaumont wealth, she felt it could’ve worked out well + council seat = FREE TRIPS TO THE CITY HELLZ YES ;DDDDD  But then Fontaine intervened once again ;DDDDD  And now tbqh she’s probs really glad that DIDN’T go anywhere

I’ll give Adela this, if you’re wealthy, witty, and powerful enough, she doesn’t care if you’re a dwarf so ??????????  ANYWAY she probs also wanted to marry Alex to make her daddy happy bc can you ~imagine~ if House Beaumont married its son to an Arrington and it’s daughter to a Godiva like you bet her daddy would’ve been hella proud.  But then she married a Warden, instead.  Which is still pr good...just not a Godiva.  (Just gdi it HAD to be the warden of a boring place like the west whyyyy couldn’t it have been a cool place like the south??????  ;DDDDDDD) 

Anyway, but she’d pr laid back so she def doesn’t hold a grudge or anything and she’s probs actually weirdly happy that he and Evie will be coming to the West bc PPL TO HANG OUT WITH THAT AREN’T COMPLETELY BORING (tho she’d probs think Evie was boring if Evie weren’t her beloved niece tbqh) and it doesn’t occur to her that it might be weird that she once wanted to marry her niece’s fiance tbqh bc that’s Adela I just ???????

Ok so I doubt she’d know Helena super well, but I def think Adela’d make a point of getting to know her for alot of reasons.  1) Adela is basically terrible at ruling/mothering but she’s not stupid and royals by lorde plays in the distance 2) Adela’s is a weirdo and wants to embrace Avelina’s family even if she doesn’t wanna embrace Avelina and Avelina doesn’t wanna embrace them (or maybe because of that) bc WERRE JUST ONE BIG FAMILY 3) ngl she may hope maybe she can work out some Gerolt/Helena ties yup 4) SHES IMPORTANT TO THE BEAUMONT GIRLS <3333333

OHHHH but wait!  Helena was living in the West!  She may actually know her, afterall!!  If Adela was going to make a tiresome journey to Vysova for anything, it’d def be a princess and, while I doubt she’d go often or anything, I can see her paying a visit or two over time and probs threatening to take her inviting Helena to come to the Western capitol city or whatever asp
