My first brotha, big Nate dog. It was obvious from how you treated college that you would do fine in the work force. Maybe not understand the politics of it all right away but definitely knew how to grind and not be lazy. To fight through laziness and avoid negativity to the point that it appears you have armor on.
Now as you understand how to play the game in the office while at the same time building a wonderful relationship with Keily, you are truly becoming a great man. Keep it up.
Seany Boo, if anyone had the most similar experience to me growing up, it would be you. You were the “oldest” between you and baby, so you had to bear the pressure that the role comes with. With your experiences in the Boy Scouts and later on, Eagle Scouts, you always upheld the good role model persona.
College is tough and that’s where you got to go a ham. Trust me, been there done that. I would have been shocked if you not Brendan didn’t fall for the trap I fell for, given our upbringings. We live and we learn. The way you are able to steer the ship when you want to, I have no doubt you will steer yourself towards success. Don’t lose sight of your goals and keep moving forward, one goal at a time.
To Baby Brendan, you always knew how to give us exactly what we wanted to hear. Now it’s time to put your money where your mouth is. You can do it, no doubt. College is stressful, especially when you’re in a questionable relationship. I hope you can have the strength to grow into a man that makes his own decisions.
It’s okay to feel a little lost but have faith and you will be found. I never tried to look that far ahead because I figured if I take it one step, one goal at a time, I’ll get to where I need to go. I didn’t know what I wanted to do until about five years ago. I kept doing what I needed to do and now the future seems a little clearer. At the same time, God may have totally something different planned for me but as long as I have faith, I know I will end up at minimum, what I wanted to do, if not even better things that God wants me to do.
If you truly have faith in God, someone you can’t see, touch, hear or feel on a daily basis, it’s truly easy to believe in yourself because you can see EXATLY what you are doing everyday. The good, the bad and the ugly, they are all yours to own. So have faith in yourself and have faith in God.
