Yelling at her didn’t seem right… so he hugged her back. “I’m sorry too.”

"Really, Kyo-kun??"

Right. Mio immediately regretted saying that - she knew that Tohru was poor and would overwork herself to get the guitar. The bassist raked through her brain, searching for a solution.

“Oh! Don’t worry! We’ll help!” Mio winked. “This is how Yui got her guitar after all!”

"How did she get it?"

Overall, the song sounded pretty good! Although there was a distinct difference between the ukulele’s acoustic-like plucks and the band’s rockstar-like strums. The two types of music would clash if they ever came together…

“Great! That was perfect, Tohru-chan! Would you be able to learn guitar? The fingerings are very similar!” Mio asked.

"Maybe... I can't afford a guitar, though..."

The bassist struggled to think of a good song. Ritsu was always the one familiar with today’s famous bands… Maybe a song from the light music club itself? Mio flipped through a folder and pulled out sheet music to “Fuwa Fuwa Time.”

“How’s this?”

"Hmm... I know most of these chords!" Tohru smiled. "Except for Em- wait, that's this one, right?" Tohru strummed a chord. "Yup!"

She started playing the song.

“Ukulele?”

Mio frowned. K-On! was more of a rock group - certainly not a band a ukulele could play along with. Ritsu definitely wouldn’t accept it, Mugi would say it would be cute, Yui would make some silly joke, and Azusa would probably say nothing. The bassist quickly faked a smile. “What songs do you know?”

"Well, if you give me the chords to something, I'll probably be able to play it."

Tohru ran to get a napkin to clean it up. She tried to get the hot cocoa off of Kyo…

…but ended up hugging him instead.

“I’m so sorry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” She screamed, glancing at the cat in front of her.

*twitch*

He felt the anger inside him just about to explode((‘cause he can lol)). “You clumsy idiot…” he mumbled.

"I'm so so so sorry!"

“Oh!” Mio’s entire face lit up with joy. “Really, Tohru-chan? That would be great! Thank you! So - what instrument do you play?”

"Well, I started playing the ukulele a few weeks ago..."

The bassist stood up on stage, singing the song she had written a few nights ago. She smiled. Everything was going smoothly. Ritsu’s tempo was the perfect speed and the notes harmonized very well. Mio was disappointed when the piece finally ended, but that didn’t stop her from bowing and waving proudly at her fellow classmates.

The light music club, a club that was almost abandoned due to lack of members, was a success. No one could disagree with that now. Even though they could always use more members…

A few moments after walking off stage, Mio noticed a familiar face in the crowd: a brunette with an airhead but cute smile.

“T-Tohru-chan? Is that you?”

Tohru grinned. "Of course, Mio-chan!!"

She sat down on the floor and started unpacking her instrument. "Would it be okay if I joined the your band?"

Tohru slung a tiny instrument case over her shoulder, ready to find Mio.

She hadn't seen her friend since Mio's short time at *insert the name of Tohru's high school here*, and was looking forward to seeing her friend again.

Kyo’s eyes widened as he blushed.

Shigure chuckles in the background. Yuki sipped his hot cocoa like nothing had happened. Kyo didn’t know what to do at that point. Normally, he would have yelled at Tohru for being clumsy, again, but for some reason he didn’t— he couldn’t.

Wherever the hot chocolate made contact with him, his flesh felt burned, afterall it was hot chocolate.

He thought about getting up but then thought it would have looked strange.

Sorry for taking so long. I took a bath.

“Oh, how sweet of you Tohru. You’re like a little housewife,” Shigure joked.

“She isnota housewife,” Kyo snapped.

“Shigure, that was a terrible joke,” Yuki frowned and then smiled when he addressed Tohru, “Yes that would be nice.”

//Wow Yuki is like… slightly… strange lol(maybe bipolar).

Tohru made the hot cocoa, then handed it out to everyone... but accidentally spilled it on Kyo. "I'm so sorry!!!!!"

“So can we go back to the house now?” Tohru asked, standing up.

//I’ll ask her now! XDD

“Sure,” Kyo walked ahead of the other three. Shigure trailed behind.

//Okay. XDD

They arrived at the house.

"I'll make hot cocoa for everyone!!" Tohru volunteered.

Yuki turned to face Tohru revealing his crisp smile.

Kyo couldn’t smile the same way Yuki did, all majestic like, but he managed a smile as well. His smile might not look at appealing as many people thought Yuki’s did, but his smile was much warmer than Yuki’s smile. It seemed more genuine because he didn’t find himself smiling much.

Shigure scratched his head, “It’s quite the confusing story, Tohru. I sent the boys to get some firewood and they come back empty handed, but they did get something better.” He smiled too. Yuki and Kyo grimaced when Shigure said that.

Being with Tohru, even when it was an awkward moment, always helped them smile. It was strange.

"So can we go back to the house now?" Tohru asked, standing up.

Kyo blinked. It was a bit difficult for him to assimilate what had just happened.

Yuki snapped slightly on the inside. He would never show it though.

“Look what you did, stupid-“

“Don’t say it. I know already. But, hey, wait?! Look what I did?! What do you mean by that?! You mean look what you did!!”

“Now is not the time to argue.”

“Psh, your calmness sickens me.”

“Well, we should bring her back to Shigure’s house.”

“That’s a horrible idea, you d*mn rat!”

//Ooh! That’s your friend who likes Larry, Edgeworth, and Apollo, right? She asked Apollo for a car lol. And I like how they argue when the girl they like/appreciate is down. They’re so manly.

"Wha... what happened?" Tohru sat up.

“Huh?! Who’re you?!!! What do you think you’re doin’ you idiot watch where you’re goin’,” Kyo yelled before actually looking at who it was who hit him. His swung fist almost hit Tohru.

Yuki rolled his eyes at Kyo’s remark.

“Stupid as always. That’s Miss Honda, you stupid cat.”

“You don’t have to tell me! I knew that!!!”

“Sure,” Yuki turned to Tohru, “are you alright?”
