Evil Morty in S9 E1 didn’t regress at all if you think about it thru the lens that EM really just wants to impress Morty Prime.
EM makes an offer to Morty to take him outside the curve in his ship as he as 2 seats, but Morty rejects. To which EM plays it off as a joke, but that honestly doesn’t make sense at all. It was a short trip why would you need a toliet lol. EM showing all the things the Ricks did was a way to show Morty how Rick doesn’t really care about Morty so that Morty would side with EM. (Rickmurai Jack)
In Unmortricken, EM takes Morty along with him, he literally comes back for Morty when Morty takes too long to step into the portal. He goes out his way to cover Morty first in the spray so they won’t get caught.
And in Something About Morty, Rick points out how Morty was only brought along so that EM could show off. EM only wants Rick to make Morty jealous. (Possibly pay back for how Morty rejected his offer to join him LOL)
Now with Morty having no empathy and acting much like EM, i really hope they make a bond together without Rick (i know a lot of people don’t want EM to make a comeback since he’s alr been focused on so much, but please i need more Morty Prime/Evil Morty content…)
