— Albert Camus, A Happy Death

Nymph (1975)
One of the most lyrical and charming female drawings ever created by Frazetta. First published in The Fantastic Art of Frank Frazetta: Volume One, Ballantine edition.
Ian Ballantine asked Frazetta to create some sketches for the first volume of the new art book series. Ian had faith that Frazetta would be a sensational hit on the bookshelves. He was right. The book went through many reprintings and spawned four subsequent volumes. Nymph was printed in Volume One.
Later this original drawing was gifted to Frazetta’s long time friend Nick Melvin. Frazetta gave Nick the choice of all his sketches in his collection and Nick chose this.
flowy dresses, farmers market mornings, fresh tulips, windows open, iced honey lattes, recharging the soul through nature.
