Not to kind of hop in the "Edward Creel" madness but i do have to say that in a show that's pretty consistent with its use of the word one to signify the involvement of, well, Henry/Vecna/One. There's an unprecedented amount of "one"s when Dustin and Max are talking about Eddie in 4.02

And that's not even counting the "someone" and "anyone" of which there are also a lot of in the same scene. And it is definitely A Choice because when Nancy talks to the cops after Fred disappears, she says "anybody" and the cop repeats it. Taking into account the fact that Eddie was literally the person that embodied Vecna in the campaign....Is it that much of a stretch...A reach...Anyway

I Meant What I Said When I Called This Place A Prison- But When Did You Call It That?

So, something that HAUNTS ME right now is the fact that Henward says “I meant what I said when I called this place a prison”:

Which, that obviously implies that he’s specifically called HNL a prison before. But when? I’ve gone through every damn NINA scene with a fine tooth comb and can’t even find Henward uttering the word prison ONCE prior to talking to El at the tunnel. He doesn’t say it when they’re sitting at the plinko board. He doesn’t say it when they’re playing chess. He doesn’t say it when El first gets into NINA. You can go and check those scenes, I guarantee it’s not there. The closest thing is Henward comparing the lab the hell during the chess scene, but that’s still not a reference to prison.

Which, that tells me that we’re missing a scene. Which makes sense, because after all, how the hell did El know to meet Henward in the basement? And how did she know when to meet him? They didn’t talk about it when he gave her the keycard. Which means that they needed to talk about it some other time/during some other scene- likely the same scene where Henward mentions prison prior to the tunnel scene.

However, there’s also another option. Because Henward DOES mention HNL being a prison in another scene, but that scene is AFTER the tunnel scene. He mentions it during his massacre speech:

Which is making me stare directly at all of the time loop weirdness with NINA/the moving and changing bodies during the massacre/the changing bloodstains etc. Especially with Henward talking about how it “wasn’t supposed to end this way.” So now I’m looking at the tunnel scene as wondering if the other “this place is a prison” line that he’s referring to is that line during the massacre. Almost like things are out of order/or El and Henward have experienced the massacre before (likely multiple times), and El doesn’t remember, but Henward does.

what the fuck is up with brenner’s hair?

These pictures are supposed to, canonically, be only a few HOURS apart, on the same day (the day of the massacre), and yet, his hair is DRASTICALLY different- it’s thinner on the left, and all white and lacking the dark grey roots.

“Oh, but Em, it’s just that harsh training room lighting making it look lighter”

Well, let’s compare two different training room scenes with the same lighting:

The wig on the right has much darker, grey roots, whereas the first wig has those white roots. The one on the left is also thinner, with more scalp visible.

And if showing both hairstyles in the same lighting from the same angle wasn’t enough to convince that they’re different, then what about the fact that these are are two different wigs entirely:

We have that grey wig in the bottom middle and the 1979 white wig on top. They’re two different wigs. Theyre two different Brenners. We also have two different “good morning” scenes on the day of the massacre, something I’m still working on an analysis of, because that would track with two different Brenners/timelines.

And the fact that the middle, grey-haired wig is tilted so that we can’t see the label/date? Suspicious as fuck.

There’s also that weird as FUCK bottom left 1979 stringy/mostly bald Brenner wig that looks suspiciously familiar:
