The horrific violation Kris is experiencing isn't like getting bloodbended like in that one episode of Avatar: The Last Airbender. IT'S FULL-ON DEMONIC POSSESSION!!!!!!!! It really adds to Deltarune's brutal deconstruction of RPGs, especially the concepts of wish-fulfillment and self-insertion. You cannot pretend to be a person in the game because YOU ARE ALREADY A PERSON IN THE GAME. And the character in your grasp isn't some empty vessel or blank slate for you shape to your whim; they're a real person with their own hopes, dreams, experiences, and identity, which you are erasing away from them little by little as you sate your curiosities and fantasies and victimize them and the people they love.
