We are all depraved souls in a heartless world;
But perhaps such depravity may only be combated with love?
feeling that oppressive urge to have a group of friends who have weekly dinners at someone’s apartment, flock together on campus, debate literature and philosophy over wine soaked nights, study in the library together long after everyone’s gone, write each other letters when we’re apart for the holidays, run about the woods at night and be utterly, utterly free.
but in a solitary life, there are rare moments when another soul dips near yours, as stars once a year brush the earth.... such a constellation was he to me— circe by madeline miller.

…”only the very weak minded refuse to be influenced by literature and poetry”…
~Cassandra Clare
Yes, I know a sword won't improve this situation. In fact, it's incredibly likely to make the situation much, much worse. However,
However, I'd still prefer one, as a sword would definitely enhance my aesthetic
Old souls feel at home in fantasy worlds because they were dreaming about these places for centuries
I have to make a confession. I love learning and I know a lot ok! (Not gloating here ) Like genuinely. But if you ask me questions, I just outright can't remember or don't know how to answer or I start wondering if I really do know something about the subject. For someone who claims to be a dark academic, I'm really dumb as fuck!!! But I really do know a lot. But don't know what this is.

hey (with the intentions of reading books with you)
I love collecting old things because I’m desperate to preserve the past. Antique books, artifacts, cool rocks. My home is a museum and I wouldn’t have it any other way
my personality constantly switches between a pretentious literature professor and a wise illiterate idiot, there is no in between.
Why can't one learn just for the sake of learning, or just to pursue knowledge or simply to do that mere human activity???? Why do we have exams and grades to prove our learning, to the world and society?? Can't we just let it be ???
can you believe that the most human trait there is is art? we didn't start making art because it was needed for our survival or it helped us mate or hunt…. we make art for the sake of making it and for you and other people to enjoy it. this is why I love literature and art museums or just looking through my old sketches and stories…. making art is what it means to be human I think.
to my dear, with all my love ♡ x
