Headcanons: The Order Of The Twelve
The Order’s kind came to be long before humans, and were so intelligent that their species quickly expanded throughout surrounding sectors. Who knows? They may be reaching out to us now. They very well may be the basic aliens we associate with today in our culture: Creatures with skinny bodies and arms, long necks, big eyes and a big head.
The Titan’s were out free and fighting 10,000 years ago, and since Final Space begins in 20018, they no doubt exist now in show standards. However, the Titan’s origins and how long their species have existed for still remains unknown. If the Titan’s were out during our time, and the milky way isn’t affected from their chaos, it would mean the Titans are millions of lightyears away from us. But what about The Order?
Maybe they wished to expand for themselves, or maybe the Titans fought near their planet, -and with so many homes destroyed- were forced to inhabit as many galaxies as they could to insure their survival. They learnt of other intelligent or existing life throughout the universe and began to grow an awareness of others.
They could’ve been created by The Titans by total accident, born to worship. Maybe the Order’s kind viewed the Titans as the Gods of all creation, that their destruction was a normal way of life- The order of Life and Death. A group was founded, to help and protect those who also suffered from the destruction and power of the Titans. The more they expanded, the more they learnt about the universe and it’s ever growing people, and the more they helped. By the time the Titans had been locked away, and their existence but a story, ‘The Order of Twelve’ became known as the great helpers of the universe. High Helper Hula was not the first High helper. Maybe they were chosen after the first had passed away, or there was a council of High Helpers that slowly disappeared or are scattered in different posts galaxies away. Nevertheless, their temple was to be within core of Terra Con Prime, and would establish other safeguards/bases for the helpers to assist other creatures all over the universe. They have eyes everywhere, all information would go straight to Hula without them even leaving their post. Overtime, High Helper Hula pronounced The Order to be ‘the eyes of the universe’, and would preach this for millennia after.
But there was, perhaps, a darker side to this cause. The Order over time, depending on what their beliefs are of the Titans, had ideals that had changed. They continued to preach kindly of the Titans and help as much as they could, but they may have wished for true control of the universe. Or maybe, they wanted to Titans to be free again and witness The Orders hard work, for them to obtain total control once again. But with their lovely reputation at stake, and with so many creatures throughout many galaxies trusting them for protection, they’d rarely get their hands dirty.
So then Jack shows up, 10,000 years later after the Titans are still locked away..and they have no idea what to do at first. In my gut the ‘Titan’s influence’ was a total accident, a blast that contained a hellish amount of energy from the Titans (leftover power? Aura?). They suddenly come to the idea he could be a chosen one! Perfect! Makes sense right? This could be a sign from the Titans themselves, sending down a message to help them out. The Titan’s may have seen something in the small green alien and blessed them with their light! So, in that realisation, they teach Jack everything about the Titans, their power, their history, and they tell him he’s also powerful, how special he is, it may have gotten to Jack’s head a little bit.
The Order of Twelve give him a home on Terra Con Prime, a people to rule over, medicine to help with his pain, a military to boss around, and Viro and Eric to serve him. Everything their chosen one needed. With The Lord Commander (A short way of saying, “The Lord’s commander”) now in power and causing havoc, doing not only ‘what the titans want’ but The Orders secret dirty work, The Order could easily maintain their status as good people while also pointing some blame at The Lord Commander. As years went by The Lord Commander did start to detach from the The Order and do things his own way, fully a nutcase at this point. Taking over other planets and harming others for the sake of power and ‘appeasing the Titans’. He was too powerful for The Order to keep under control. When The Lord Commander took over Yarno, The Order Of Twelve saw it as chance to take over too, turning the place into Deathcroplis, forcing creatures to fight and sacrifice themselves for Titans. We’ve seen how easily they’d turn on others for the Lord Commander, even though Hula was threatened, they would’ve believed Mooncake did have a significance in plans for the Titans.
In the Final Swap Universe, when Lord Commander’s powers were taken and passed on to Gary by total accident, The Order saw it as a chance to start again. Gary was human, probably a weaker creature than Jack was. They would teach Gary everything he needed to know, but this time, they weren’t going to let another Commander over power them. So, The Order were pretty hostile to Gary whenever he tried to ditch his newfound status early on. Probably why MC’s so terrified of them.
