a note from the mod:
to keep order on my personal blog, agentcarterbingo is housed under a separate primary blog when the event is not in session. i occasionally log in and check things, but only about once every 2-3 months. as of january 12, 2023 i have moved the blog over to its “off-season” home, so if you have any questions or concerns about the event in the meantime, please reach out to my personal blog @starlightpeggy.
We're officially accepting submissions, and will be until January 31st! If you're ready to dive in and get creating, then here's the form! Anyone 16 and older is welcome to participate. We can't wait to see what you do 🩷
In place of contributor applications, the Agent Carter Zine will be available for sign ups from now until January 31st! Signing up now means
If you want a little more information before diving into the deep end, then here's everything you need to know:
This zine is a submissions-based zine, which means we're not doing applications- if you want to be a part of the project, then we're excited to welcome and work with you! What we will need from you in this submission form is three different ideas of the kind of content you want to create for the zine. We'll read each pitch, and on February 6th after the submissions close, we'll let you know which one we want you to move forward with. That way, we'll get a mix of content for characters throughout the Agent Carter fandom. Our mods will be working with creators throughout the creation period, and we're always here if you have questions or need help at any point in the process! We'll also be sending out links to a zine discord once submissions close to make communicating with the contributors and supporting each other easier.
If you have any other questions, you can find our FAQs on our carrd here, and our asks are open, so feel free to reach out!

in case anyone was interested in the more numerical side of this event, i pulled together a few statistics :) this data is all from the ao3 collection.
total number of works in the ao3 collection at the time of posting: 94
the top ship in the event was peggysous, with 39 works! second place goes to the platonic peggy, jack, and daniel with 16 works, and third place was cartinelli with 14 works.
unsurprisingly the top character was peggy carter, as she was tagged as a character for 81 works, but the second and third place spots go to daniel sousa and jack thompson, who were tagged in 56 and 40 works respectively.
the top "additional tags" were as follows: fluff (30), angst (15), and hurt/comfort (8).
as far as ratings go, an overwhelming amount of fic was either rated General or Teen (70 G and 18 T rated works), with 4 Explicit works and 2 that were not given a rating.
the longest one shot written for this event was 6,096 words, and the shortest was 301 words.
thank you to everyone who participated in agent carter bingo this year!! i hope you are proud of yourselves for all that you have created :)
Agent Carter Bingo 2022
Prompt: Autumn + Holidays
Colour: I swear it's Orange and Yellow!!
Prompt: Library + Coffee
Colour: Blue
Pairing: Jack Thompson / Daniel Sousa
Here is the sixth and final piece I made for the bingo card. Do not ask me why a fall themed art for new year 😅, put the blame on the prompts😂...I just wanted to draw my favourite boys!!
As my first experiment with rain effects, I think it came out pretty cool (at least cool for a first timer).
I tried two versions of this art piece: one that was warm, and one that was cool. Only one of them has the rain effect (as I was lazy to add it to the other). I will take a break from posting after I post the warm palette and return with some White Collar, Vijay, and Marvel fanarts (probably dome DCTV stuff too!).
The bingo card series was fun. I hope y'all liked it too. <3
last call for masterlists before the end of event post goes out tomorrow afternoon!!
i believe that i am currently all up to date on masterlists (as far as i’m aware), but if i haven’t reblogged yours feel free to come yell at me and send a link!

Chapter 4: Best Things In Life
Square: G4 - emergency
Summary: The past few weeks have been rough but Peggy is great at distractions. Distracting herself from everything, that includes her health.
Peggy Carter never thought she would be the last one standing. She and the Howling Commandos had fought side by side through so many battles. In her mind, she assumed they would grow old together or die saving the world from Hydra.
But that’s not what happened.
One moment she’d been in the heat of battle, and then… she was in the future. And everyone she’d ever known was dead.
Except for Steve.
But now, Steve was dying.
“It’s his lungs, Captain Carter,” the doctor told her. “They’re weak.”
Peggy laughed. Of course, it was Steve’s lungs. The scrawny little kid from Brooklyn had never been able to escape that. And now, in the future - her new present - Steve was fighting a losing battle.
She’d been in the 21st century for eight months. Still, Peggy had yet to acclimate to the noise and never-ending news cycle that insisted on running endless stories about her, her emergence, her clothes, and what she liked to eat. It was appalling.
Steve told her that was how the new world worked, but Peggy hated it.
When the doctor said there was nothing they could do for Steve, Peggy went into action. Her telephone fit in the palm of her hand, and she could talk to someone halfway across the world through a monitor. Surely, someone could find a way to cure Steve. After all, this was the future.
But they couldn’t. Not even Tony Stark - Howard’s prodigy - could find a way to repair the damage in Steve’s lungs.
So, Peggy went to his bedside every day and talked to him. They recounted their time together in Europe, fondue, and talked about anything they could think of to take their minds off Steve’s dwindling time.
However, Steve always insisted that Peggy continue her work.
“The world needs you, Peggy,” he told her.
Peggy scoffed. “The world forgot about me.”
Steve shook his head. “I never forgot about you. And the world needs Captain Carter - now more than ever.”
Peggy sighed.
“Promise me you won’t give up when I’m gone, Pegs.”
“Steve…”
“You have to promise me.”
Peggy took Steve’s hand between hers and nodded. “I promise.”
Steve sat back against his pillows and nodded. “That’s my girl.”
Peggy bit back the sob that threatened to escape and tried to pull herself together. When the knock came a few hours later, Peggy placed a gentle kiss against Steve’s cheek while he slept and left before his children and grandchildren entered the room.
The ache didn’t hurt as much as it once did, but it still hurt to see what could have been hers whenever his family appeared. She hated the world for taking her away from him so many years ago, only to bring her back to him and then take him away again.
Captain Carter would continue her work. She promised Steve as much. But she didn’t know if she would ever truly belong anywhere ever again.
The early morning was still dark when Peggy felt the warm lips that tasted of orange juice brush across her own.
The early morning was still dark when Peggy felt the warm lips that tasted of orange brush across her own.
Peggy leaned into the kiss and greedily licked at the delectable flavor. It had been a long time since she’d felt the tender caress of her lover. When warm fingers threaded through her hair and gently caressed her scalp, she felt the tension in her shoulders melt away. A sigh escaped her lips, and a soft chuckle floated past her ear.
“Miss me?”
Peggy kept her eyes shut but nodded. “You know I have.”
“I’ve missed you, too.” Angie pressed a soft kiss beneath Peggy’s jaw. “You’ve been busy?”
“Always.”
“Tell me?”
Peggy groaned. “You don’t want to hear about work.”
Angie giggled. “I do. Tell me everything.”
So, Peggy did. Eyes closed, she told Angie about her latest case, her frustration with the new recruits, and negotiations with various foreign papers. She shared all of it, and Angie listened, never interrupting.
As daylight broke and Peggy felt the warmth of the morning sun wash across her cheeks, she tightened her fingers against Angie’s soft skin.
“Can you stay?” Peggy pleaded.
A tender kiss pressed against her temple. “You know I can’t,” Angie said quietly.
Peggy felt a tear trickle down her cheek. “I know,” she breathed. She gathered Angie closer to her. “When will I see you again?”
Angie pressed against her and brushed the tear away. “Soon,” she promised.
“It’s never soon enough,” Peggy sighed.
“Soon,” Angie said again.
“I love you,” Peggy told her.
“I always loved you,” Angie whispered.
“Angie,” Peggy pleaded.
“Always.”
The sun broke through the curtains, and Peggy reluctantly opened her eyes. She lay alone in the bedroom. Turning to the nightstand beside her, Peggy surveyed the photo there. She and Angie posed in front of the Lincoln Memorial with beaming smiles. It was taken the day Peggy had been honored for her service. The President had pinned a gaudy medal to her chest and congratulated her for everything she’d done in the line of duty.
Next to the photo lay a single golden band. The ring she’d given Angie all those years ago was a promise of her love and commitment. Angie had faithfully worn it every day in sickness and health.
Peggy swung her feet to the side of the bed and sat quietly. It had been months since she’d seen Angie in her dreams. She hungered for those stolen moments, but when she awoke, the pain felt like it did all the years ago when she’d told Angie she loved her one final time.
Peggy licked her lips. She could still taste the faint trace of orange. It was bittersweet, but she prayed she would taste it again tonight when she drifted to sleep.
“I’m telling ya’, Gloria, all that soulmate stuff is nonsense.”
“And I’m telling you, Angie, it’s real.”
“Oh yeah?” Angie stared at her coworker skeptically. “If that’s the case, then why don’t I have someone’s name scrawled across my wrist or something?”
Carol sighed and tossed a dishrag at Angie. “We’ve gone over this, silly. Not everyone gets a name. Some people can only see in black and white until they meet their one true love. A few people can even feel the other person’s pain. That’s how some nurses have met their soulmates.”
Angie rolled her eyes. “You know anyone specific, Gloria, or is this stuff you’ve read in Cosmo?
“Honest to God, Ang! Carol said her cousin’s best friend’s sister saw color when she met her fella.”
Angie laughed. “Well, I’ve never seen in black and white, and I’ve got enough scars and bruises from derby to have met a soulmate by now.” She held up her arms and nodded at the little knicks and lines that dotted her forearms.
Gloria shrugged and looked at the faint name that looped around her wrist. “All I know is this name appeared when I was fourteen.” She sighed. “And now I’m twenty-four.”
Angie stopped laughing and reached for Gloria’s wrist. “I’m sorry,” she said. “I shouldn’t make fun of it. I know how important it is to you.” She read the name on her friend’s wrist and smiled. “And who knows? Maybe Andrew Stevens will come for a latte one of these days.”
“Maybe,” Gloria agreed wistfully.
“But until he does, you’re still going to the club for Friday night frenzies with me, right?”
Gloria grinned. “Of course I am!”
“Thank God,” Angie laughed. “Carol keeps sending drinks to women on my behalf, and I’m running out of polite ways to tell them that it wasn’t really me.”
“The trials of Angie Martinelli,” Gloria exclaimed dramatically. “If only we all had problems like you.”
“You laugh,” Angie grumbled, “But it’s tough. Why can’t I meet a nice girl that I can bring home to my family? Someone who has her life together.”
Gloria nudged Angie. “And beautiful?”
“That’d be a nice bonus,” Angie agreed.
Gloria looked over the counter. “Maybe someone like your favorite English customer?”
Angie sighed. “Don’t I wish?”
“You could ask her out, you know.”
Angie shook her head. “No! She’s way out of my league.”
Gloria glared at her. “She is not out of your league.”
Angie stared back incredulously. “Have you seen her?” She waved a hand in the woman’s direction. “Have you heard her talk?”
“I have,” Gloria smirked. “Her accent is adorable.”
“Adorable,” Angie scoffed. “It’s sinful.”
Gloria raised an eyebrow. “Oh, is it?”
“Stop!” Angie swatted her with a cleaning rag.
“I’m not the one who has a crush on the English woman with a sinful accent.”
Angie turned away and huffed. “I am never telling you anything again.”
“She comes in three times a week, always sits in your area, and makes a point to ask you how your day is going. Ask her out already.”
“She’s friendly,” Angie explained.
“She doesn’t talk to anyone else,” Gloria argued.
“So, she’s selectively friendly,” Angie said. “That doesn’t mean she’s interested in me.”
Gloria folded her arms and glared at Angie. “Do you even know her name?”
Angie blushed. “She always pays with cash.”
“Angie! She’s been coming in here for a month.”
“I call her English,” Angie confessed as she took a fresh pie from the kitchen window and set it down on the counter. “It slipped out one day. She didn’t seem to mind, so it stuck.”
Gloria narrowed her eyes. “I swear to God, if you don’t get her name today, I will take matters into my own hands.”
Angie gasped. “You will not!”
“Try me,” Gloria pressed.
Angie picked up a knife and began to slice the pie. “Okay, I’ll ask her what her name is before she leaves today. Happy?”
Gloria nodded. “Before she leaves. Promise?”
“Promise,” Angie said. She went to make another slice but dropped the knife when a glass shattered across the room.
“Ow!”
Gloria looked at her in concern. “Did you cut yourself?”
“I don’t think so, but…,” Angie looked at her left hand in confusion as a small wound appeared along her palm and a faint trickle of blood welled along the edges. “I don’t understand,” she said.
“Um, Angie,” Gloria murmured.
Angie looked up to see Gloria pointing across the room to a booth. A booth where her favorite English customer was currently kneeling, picking up the pieces of a shattered coffee cup as a line of bright red blood bloomed across her palm.
Angie swayed and felt Gloria’s hands settle on her waist.
“Easy there, Ang.”
“This isn’t possible,” Angie whispered.
“Looks like it is,” Gloria said. She nodded toward the English woman. “You want me to go over there?”
Angie shook her head. “No. I promised you that I’d get her name.”
Gloria shook her head. “That was before…” she waved a hand between Angie and the woman.
Angie grinned weakly. “Well, no time like the present, I guess.” She wrapped a towel around her palm and reached for a clean towel.
“Good luck!” Gloria smiled.
Angie felt like weights were tied to her ankles as she walked across the room and knelt beside the woman she only knew as English.
“I am so sorry,” the woman told her. “I knocked it off the table when I reached for my phone. I can pay to replace it.”
Angie smiled. “It’s okay. Happens all the time.” She reached for the woman’s injured hand. “Here, let me wrap that for you until you can get somewhere to clean it up.”
English smiled in relief and allowed Angie to take her hand. “That’s awfully kind of you.”
“Not at all,” Angie said.
The woman looked at the towel wrapped around Angie’s hand. “Oh no! Did you injure your hand, too?”
Angie took a deep breath. “Not exactly.”
English looked at her quizzically and then down to Angie’s left hand. When she looked back at Angie, her eyes held understanding.
Angie let out the breath she’d been holding. “You know I’m Angie, but I only know you as English. But I figure maybe I should know your name given that….” She looked down at their mutually wrapped hands. “Look, I don’t even know if I believe in all this soulmate stuff-”
She stopped talking when English placed her uninjured hand over Angie’s hand.
“I’m Peggy Carter,” the English woman said.
“Angie Martinelli.”
Peggy smiled. “It’s nice to meet you, Angie.”
Angie laughed. “You, too, Peggy.”
Peggy looked at their hands. “I think we should tend to these cuts, but perhaps later this evening, we could get something to eat and discuss this?”
Angie smiled. “I would love to.”
Peggy looked delighted. “Wonderful.”
Angie looked at the shattered cup on the floor beneath them and grinned. Gloria would be insufferable now. But, as she looked back at Peggy and saw how the Englishwoman was looking at her, she decided it was worth it. After all, she might have just found her soulmate.
Note: sorry these last five are down to the wire. December was rather unkind to my family with several bouts of sickness and my grandmother being hospitalized for a stroke the week before Christmas. She is doing better, but the majority of my time has been spent at doctors' offices and the hospital this month.
one final glance at the nearby doorway, Jarvis activated the countdown and quickly made his way back to the elevator. He grabbed his umbrella from the door and focused his attention on his watch as the car descended. The secondhand ticked by 11 when he stepped out of the car, and 10 seconds later, as the building door clicked shut behind him on 12, the lights in the building flickered ominously, and then the building plunged into darkness.
Peggy was at the desk in the study when every light in the room flickered off, and the room was plunged into darkness. A faint hint of daylight streamed into the room through the windows, but she knew that would soon be gone as night fell. A narrow beam of yellow light filled the room, and Peggy headed for the front hallway. She felt along the wall to her desk, retrieved the torch she always kept for emergencies, and clicked it on.
Angie’s voice floated down from the upstairs balcony. “Peggy, all of the lights are out up here!”
“Yes, I can see that,” Peggy said with a dry laugh. “I’m going to check and see if it’s merely us or the entire building is out. Stay put until I can bring you a torch.”
There was a pause, and then, “Do you think an open flame is safe?”
Peggy sighed. “A light, Angie.”
“A flashlight?”
“Yes.”
“Well, speak English, English!”
Peggy rolled her eyes and opened the front door to complete darkness.
Well, that answered that question.
“Is it the whole building?” Angie called.
“Yes, I’m afraid so,” Peggy said and closed the door. “Stay put. I’ll come to you.” She swung the light around and bit back a scream. Angie stood before her with a small torch in her hand.
“Found a flashlight in the bathroom,” she said.
Peggy placed a hand over her thudding heart and nodded. “So I see.”
“Should we go downstairs?” Angie asked.
“It’s a Saturday. I rather doubt any offices are open, especially in this weather.”
“I didn’t think about that. So it’s just us?”
“So it would seem.” Peggy walked back to the study as Angie trailed close behind. Locating the phone, she lifted the handset to her ear. “Fortunately, the phone line appears to be working.” She dialed a number on the rotary and waited for the call to go through.
“Howard, it’s Peggy. The building has lost power.” She tilted her head. “Yes, of course. I checked the hallway.” She peered out the window and watched as fat snowflakes tumbled from the sky. The wind began to howl against the glass panes.
“No, no, sending Jarvis won’t be necessary. I’d hate for him to get stuck in this. We have candles, food, and firewood. I’ve survived far worse on much less.” A pause. “Yes, of course, you were there. As if I could forget. But do call an electrician to come out once this passes. I realize we’re the only inhabitants in the building right now. Still, I’m certain your other tenants will want power come Monday.” She paused again. “I do appreciate your concern, Howard, but we will manage. Yes. You stay safe, too. Goodbye.”
Peggy turned to Angie. “Howard is going to call an electrician, but he doubts anyone will respond in this weather.”
“So we’re stuck like this for a while, huh?” Angie sighed.
“So it would seem,” Peggy replied. “Let’s gather some more torches and candles. Then, we can move into the study and light the fireplace.”
Angie snickered. “You grab the torches, Peg. I’ll get the flashlights.”
I am so grateful that @agentcarterbingo was put together. It pushed me to write and sometimes write things I wouldn’t usually. I was totally stretched. A couple are photosets and not fics, and some fics I feel better about then others, but I hope you enjoy.

happy new year's eve everyone! the masterlists are starting to come in and right now i think i'm all up to date on them!
i wanted to do this a little earlier but then forgot, but i was looking at the 91 (!!) fics in the ao3 collection, and thought we could have a little look back at some of them :)
so, here's what i'd love everyone to do:
send this blog an ask with the link to a fic you enjoyed from the collection and maybe explain why you liked it, and if you're an author, you should send your favorite fic that you wrote for the event too!
