I don’t want to open old wounds, I don’t want to cause any harm. I want to acknowledge, forgive, and heal. I don’t think I’m meant to respond, I don’t think a response would suffice even though I have one. I’ll keep doing exactly what was asked of me, to stay away, because I know better now than to let my selfishness get the best of me. There will always be love even if there wasn’t always kindness.

We always said “in another life” and I hope those versions of us exist somewhere, and I’m sorry it couldn’t be this one.
