oh wow, you think red vs blue should have stopped after 13? should we throw a party? should we call miles luna
rvb should’ve ended at 5. rvb should’ve ended at 10. rvb should’ve ended at 13. rvb should’ve ended at 17. wow it’s almost like the problems people may or may not have with the continuing of the show have more to do with personal taste than the actual substance of the various finales being ~the perfect stopping point~
i genuinely do not understand “13 was the perfect finale” fuckers because. like. 13 is only the finale of chorus? like sure with the charon stuff it has ties to stuff before 10 but it is not a culmination of the whole show? 19 is WAY more of a finale for the whole show than 13 is. even with church’s death it’s like. sure that’s the end of his arc but it’s not really any sort of culmination or wrap up. that already happened at 10.
i think in terms of finales 10 would’ve been a way better series finale than 13. like the show genuinely did not need to continue after 10. we finished the story. if your problem with continuing after 13 is “the story is done the characters arcs are done we don’t need to see more of this” that already happened and WAY better in 10! but i think the show would be a significantly worse show if chorus didn’t exist! the retroactive effects watching chorus has on tucker, wash, hargrove, and even carolina and church’s characters are nothing but positive for the show. and while i don’t think 15-17’s retroactive characterizing is purely positive, i do think what they did for wash, carolina, grif, sarge, caboose, and yes, i will say even donut, despite how we would have preferred he was handled differently, are positives on the show. even restoration, as much as i hate it, was good to tex and was fucking amazing to caboose, and the simulations aspect and concept of meta!tucker offer some compelling story ideas, even if not executed well. (and don’t get me started on compelling story ideas not executed well *looks at username*)
if you don’t like the stuff after 13 then like. fine? there’s a lot of shit i don’t like about it either. but either a) ignore it or b) actually critique it instead of just taking the lazy route of “everything i don’t like is bad and shouldn’t have been made because i don’t like it”
