One of many? That meant he wanted this to happen again, and she was one hundred percent on board with that. So much so that she couldn’t fight the grin that swept across her lips, nor could she help the overwhelming giddy feeling that was fluttering around her stomach like butterflies. She buried her face into the crease of her elbow, wanting to hide the goofy like grin that was plastered across her face.
She liked Mark, actually, she liked him a lot but she wasn’t sure if she was ready to show him just how much she liked him and how the little things he said and did to her made her smile like a complete and utter idiot. Erin had a reputation to uphold, she was the cool, laid back whiz kid around the office. Not the smitten, school girl crush girl that she felt like right now.
"Yeah, hell of a night." She lifted her head from the crease of her elbow, her goofy grin replaced with the fondest of smiles as the events of last night flashed in her head. "One of many, many more."
Blearily his eyes opened to peer across at her, lax grin becoming cemented onto his face at noting her own adorable expression. While he enjoyed a laugh as much as the next person, he usually found himself too occupied to spare many smiles; his line of work was most often grim and left little time for humour.
But with her, he could feel any burdens or tension ebb from his muscles, his entire being. She had a way of bringing him to an entirely content state of disarray, a rarity for someone so well kept. Even his apartment reflected as much of himself—organised and clean cut, simple but attractive.
Right now, however, he was far from his usual groomed self; hair tousled from the pillow and her hands roaming through it the night before. Not that he could blame her, he'd had trouble keeping his hands off of her too.
"Many, many more, huh?" he echoed, mischief present in the undertone of his voice, somewhat husky from sleep. Her answer might not have been a direct confirmation but it was definitely something he could work with. This was one situation he didn't need to follow order or protocol, she made it easy to simply take things as they came.
"I like the sound of that."
