Although he’d let his eyes drift closed once again, he could still picture her there beside him. It wasn’t an image he imagined he’d forget any time soon, not after waiting so long to see it.
He gave a huff of laughter that was muffled by the pillow he nestled into, the same lazy grin still etched into his features as he recalled the ‘third time’ she’d mentioned. She was, undoubtedly, a whiz kid beyond the likes of just computers. It took a lot to wear him out but she managed it and he sure was’t complaining.
"Helluva night, hm? One of many."
It was his indirect way of bringing up their ‘arrangement’ of sorts, trying to determine her standpoint on the whole thing.
One of many? That meant he wanted this to happen again, and she was one hundred percent on board with that. So much so that she couldn't fight the grin that swept across her lips, nor could she help the overwhelming giddy feeling that was fluttering around her stomach like butterflies. She buried her face into the crease of her elbow, wanting to hide the goofy like grin that was plastered across her face.
She liked Mark, actually, she liked him a lot but she wasn't sure if she was ready to show him just how much she liked him and how the little things he said and did to her made her smile like a complete and utter idiot. Erin had a reputation to uphold, she was the cool, laid back whiz kid around the office. Not the smitten, school girl crush girl that she felt like right now.
"Yeah, hell of a night." She lifted her head from the crease of her elbow, her goofy grin replaced with the fondest of smiles as the events of last night flashed in her head. "One of many, many more."
