"Pleased to meet you, Agent."
"Pleasure is mine."
”—- … Sexual sunday isn’t really a thing, right?”
Seems absurd to reserve it for one day.
"Good thing I don’t technically work for SHIELD then."
"Lab lackey, coffee maker extraordinaire, genius wrangler, and friendly face all round. Not much of a job description, but it’s what I do."
"Did you say coffee? I'd like to see those skills in action." He smiled.

Who are you and what do you want? I don’t have a lot of time to waste on strangers in my way.
Friendly. Holden Winter. And you are, Miss--? [busy?]

She watched as he shot again and smiled approvingly at the result. “No problem.”
She smirked slightly once again, turning her head to look at him. “I was joking, Winter. Though you’re right, I could’ve been raised somewhere worse, although sometimes…” she trailed off, leaving him to make his own assumption as to what the end of the sentence would have been.
"...Sometimes you wonder how your life would have turned out without SHIELD?" He asked. Everyone had a choice in life. SHIELD was an option.
"Pity my culinary tastes are staying completely unbroadened, or that I’m a really obvious liar?"
She just smirked at his words, stretching out in the chair and settling in. “Don’t mind if I do.”
"SHIELD would really teach you to lie."
"So..You avoid," he used air quotes, "science-speak. What do you do?

Yvette watched as he drew his pistol and fired. She turned her head to look at the target and noticed his annoyed look as she did so. “Square your shoulders,” she said casually.
She smirked slightly before answering his question. “Isn’t it considered rude to ask a lady her age?” She leaned her chin on her palm. “Twenty-two. Like I said, SHIELD practically raised me.”
"Thanks," he said. Holden squared his shoulders as she had instructed. With an even breath, he took aim again. This shot was far more successful.
"For the pointers," he added with a small smile.
A sheepish smile crossed his face. "I beg your pardon," and then a nod, "Ah. I guess there are worse places to be raised by, right?"
Get out.
I've made a lousy first impression.
You could crack a smile. At least, uh, what was the fictional fish’s name? Well, she smiled.
You’re comparing me to Dory from Finding Nemo? Really?
[sighs] Women.
Ah. I could see that coming in handy.
…You’re not serious.
You could crack a smile. At least, uh, what was the fictional fish's name? Well, she smiled.
No. Probably not. Unless you’ve seen something amiss.
Not that I can recall. Memory isn’t what it used to be.
Ah. I could see that coming in handy.
As long as it’s legal.
Legal; in all the ways that both logically and legally matter —-
I'm keeping my eye on you, Stark.

Can I help you?
No. Probably not. Unless you've seen something amiss.

A distraction. Can I help you?
And you would be absolutely correct about that one; it’s not directly related to my father’s company —-
As long as it's legal.
Same could be said for you as well, Agent Winter.
Now, this has been a lovely chat and all, but if we’re going to continue doing this little song and dance —- I’ve got a job to do and deadlines to meet.
Now you're holding my interest, Logan.
Surely your father didn't leave you in charge of his company--

She laughed - genuinely laughed - at his words. “That’s one way to put it.”
She looked up at him, then at the practice targets. “You can practice if you’d like,” she said, motioning to the targets.” She reassembled her pistol quickly. “Six years, huh? You got a few months on me.”
Taking a 45 mm from its case, Holden loaded it. Deep breath, he aimed for his target and released the trigger. It wasn't as good of a shot as he had hoped. He gritted his teeth in annoyance.
He remembered he wasn't alone. "Really? How--How old are you?" There was an old unwritten rule, he was sure, that advised never to ask a woman her age. However, Holden woke up everyday to do his job well not to adhere to social norms.
