Mmm… There’s not much to comment on. I’ve been practicing growing things. Spending a lot of time thinking, or trying not to think. It’s pretty boring here… Not like living with humans. -a small snort-

*a light laugh* I don’t really live with humans, I just meet them occasionally… I think you’d be surprised how many gems there are in this area, though, I’ve met quite a few. Fortunately, most of them were friendly, but there are also some corrupted ones around… *another sigh, and looks away for a moment* To be completely honest, though, that’s not what concerns me the most at the moment. There’s something else lying quite heavily on my heart, and I couldn’t bear being alone with those thoughts and feelings…

-they twist their face in almost disgust at the mention of other gems, but makes no other comment to that subject. As long as no other try to settle here, or the corrupted ones don't sniff them down, they'll be fine-

-eyebrows creased with worry, they reach a hand up to pat lightly on his arm- Is it something you want to talk about?

[agrokinesis]

Couldn’t be alone.. I’m not doing anything, I’m fine staying with you. Thank you for coming to find me.

-they follow his looking around, squinting into the trees suspiciously, and then back up at him- …As long as you bring me back. Do you not feel safe here? Where is it you’d rather go?

[guardinggem]

Oh, no, I didn’t mean anywhere specific, I was just asking if you’d like to walk around a little or something… We can as well just sit down here if you’d prefer that. … How are you, anyway? I haven’t even asked yet.

-like usual, they’ve crafted some sort of bunker for themselves. Brambles and vines and other mostly impenetrable vegetation. Absolutely silent, just a nest of weeds in the forest it would seem, save for the gently glowing pink light from inside the twisted mess. The light fades as he calls their voice, and there’s a return of-

-from inside, rustle of brambles parting to let them out of the shelter, and they quickly shift back into their fuller size, standing beside the considerably smaller hideout-

*a light sigh of relief as they respond. They haven’t been sleeping then, he had hoped for that. Smiles as they step out of their little cocoon* Thank you… I’m glad to see you, I just couldn’t be alone today. *quickly looks around* Would you like to go somewhere?

*once again, Black Tourmaline can be found walking through the forest. Unlike usually, however, he has a goal this time, although his constant looking around might not make it appear that way. Despite his ability to sense the presence of other gems, it takes him a while to locate one of Watermelon Tourmaline’s floral hideouts, at which he finally stops, and calls out their name*

Finally managed to make a proper sketch of Black Tourmaline. Well, at least of his face, since I suck at drawing clothes if I don’t have a super precise idea.

Be thankful for that. What comes out isn’t very pleasant. Sometimes the ones that are still halfway intact get forced into clusters, so they can be used for a little longer. But the rest… *shakes head. Widens eyes in light surprise as they introduce themselves* A tourmaline? *light smile* I suppose that means we’re cousins. Nice to meet you.

-grimacing at that description, but the softest hint of a laugh following- I suppose so too. What a coincidence that of anyone I could’ve found it was a tourmaline, hmm? Or..Well. Found me.

*light nod* Yes, I have plenty of siblings… It’d be a sensation if anyone could tell which of us they’ve met, I guess we’re just not significant enough to be remembered. *short, distorted smirk* But yes, I am. Most of us don’t make it out as intact as me… *keeps hands in his pockets as they come down, finally able to take a look at their gem* … I don’t think I’ve ever seen any of your sort back on Homeworld.

I know... I’ve seen them, the ones that go in at least. Never anything that comes out. -slight eyebrow raised and a bit of a trained bow-  Watermelon Tourmaline. I was the only one back on Homeworld.

i put a bird in my hair and there was too much its poor little feets got tangled im so sorry

*shakes head* No, I wasn’t in the war. I’m a Black Tourmaline who refused to guard the authorities, so I was sent to the power plants. But I fled from there, and have been hiding here since then.

[agrokinesis]

B...Black Tourmaline?! I knew several cuts of Black Tourmaline... -eyes wide, sitting up more and leaning over and down to get a better look at the gem on his head, more blinking and sitting back after a moment- But... that would explain why I don’t know you, I suppose. -cringing- The power plants... You’re lucky to escape that and live here so long then.  -they’re moving now, convinced to leave their safety nest at the affirmation of who he was, even if they haven’t announced themselves yet, a little bit of wobbly standing on the hammock before stepping off the edge and landing on their feet with a soft thud a few paces back from him, they’re.... significantly smaller-

[wt voice] what do you mean it's been 5000 years since the war that was like fifteen minutes ago lmao

*sticks his hands into his pockets to appear even less threatening* Well, I live among them, not directly with them. I haven’t met another gem in… it must have been decades. Earth decades.

[agrokinesis]

-nodding, eyes flick to his hands, that’s a good comfort-   I see... I just reformed recently, I don’t think that counts for time if I’m not actually existing to see any gems. -eyebrow raise- You were in the war, then? That was the last time?

[guardinggem]

*at this point he’s absolutely certain they are a gem. They seem to be shy, though, so he keeps his voice quiet* I thought the same. I just wanted to get away from the humans for a while, I never thought I’d meet another gem.

[agrokinesis]

-that’s a relief, the quietness prompts them to sit up fully, still appearing very much on the defensive and squinting down at him- It’s been a long time since I have.... You live with humans?

[guardinggem]

*he’s originally not wanted to talk to anyone, but that was under the assumption that there’d only be humans around. Approaches the hammock, and the closer he gets, the more certain he becomes that the person there is another gem. Utters a quiet “Hello?” as he’s close enough*

[agrokinesis]

-.... blink blink, that’s the first voice they’ve heard in a long time and honestly they’re not sure it was real, after a hesitation the leg slips back up into the hammock, they grip the side and slooowwlly peak up over it to inspect, eyes fly open as soon as they see the person... (gem? Most definitely gem) below, they roll themselves back into the hammock and press flat against it, hand clutching chest, voice just loud enough to be heard-  ... Hello? I thought this area was deserted..

*wandering through the forests, seeking seclusion from human civilization for a while, and just enjoying the wind, and the songs of the birds being the only sounds around, he suddenly stops, as he senses a sort of presence, strange to encounter here, yet anything but foreign to him*

-not far from him at all a bright green hammock of vines is strung up between two trees mid-way up the trunk, a leg hangs off one end and swings softly to push the hammock side to side, occasionally a pink hand reaches up as well, allows a small bird to land on it or fly in circles before waving it off and settling down again, not much noise besides that-
