Crinkling her nose in disagreement she shook her head. “You do you Agust.” Bending down to reach for her shirt she let out a dramatic sigh. “I wonder how long it would take to find a French guy. What if we went to Paris?”

“Your fascination with finding a french guy amuses me.” he chuckles out as he stretches out in the lounge chair.  “Been to Paris far too many times that I find it quite boring.  Beautiful but unfulfilling besides school is coming soon and I would like to laze around before it begins.  Quidditch season is going to be hell and I’m quite tired from my travels of the summer.”

Narrowing her eyes at his reaction she let herself be pulled closer to him. “Parties are fun but it’s not everything. I cant live my life with strictly hook ups.” ‘Not when I’m in love with you.’ Vi finished mentally.

“I prefer it.” he shrugs. “No commitment, no drama.  I don’t do the whole relationship thing well and to be real, its not something I’m attracted to.”

Sliding her hands up his chest and resting behind his neck she tilted her head to the side. “Oh how sweet of you. Can’t wait to see the many layers that follow.”

His smile fades at her statement; Adrién Agust was not an idiot, clueless at times but never an idiot and her statement just made him want to get up an bolt.  So, he gives her that sly smile he’d give other girls “What are you implying?” he asks.  “I remember when you didn’t do relationships--” his hands slowly move down her back to her waist.  “Parties were more..” He roughly squeezes her waist and pulls her a bit closer.  “fun.”

Slapping his chest she rolled her eyes, “I guess you do have a type. I didn’t know you were so cliche Agust.”

She set her hands on his shoulder. “You’re either gonna have to put the sunscreen on me or I put my shirt back on. And if i remember correctly you really like staring at my chest. the choice is yours.”

“I’m a walking cliche, Anderson.  Rich asshole whole secretly has a heart of gold.” he jokes with a wink.

He clicked his tongue on the roof of him mouth “I’m enjoying the view, not something I should be saying considering you just dumped my best friend but lets be honest here...” His eyes trailed from her eyes down her body back up to her chest and he leans towards her just slightly “I’ve always enjoyed the view.”

Looking down at her hands she sighed, “I hope he’s able to.” Shuddering at the mention of the wicked witch she turned to face him. “Remind me again HOW you even thought dating her was a good idea?”

“No see that’s exactly it. They want to be the other girl you treat the way you treat me.”

“I’m a simple minded creature and she had every one of my turn ons.  She was a hot, French ballerina, Violet!  Who I can admit was great in bed plus we both did enjoy a good number of rough angry sex.”  he says as he winks at her cockily.

He raises his brow before rolling his eyes once again, “I get it, I get it.  It’s just not likely to happen.  I dated Genevieve and we treated each other like trash; dating me doesn’t mean I’ll be nicer to them.”

Sighing she turned her back towards him, knowing he was right she was at a loss for words. “The only thing is they see how you are with me. They know there’s more to you.”

“If he truly loves you, he’d support you with whoever you chose.” Just like he had done when she started dating Landon but that wasn’t the same, right? “Or something like that?  I think there was a quote like that in one of those crappy romance movies Genevieve used to force me to watch.  I learned to sleep with my eyes open through that torture.”

“You’re one of my best friends; how do they expect me to act around you?”

“It’s not fair to him if I can’t fully be his. I think I’ve always been in love with this someone, and yes you know him.” Handing him the bottle of sunscreen she turned around.

“Comparable to Satan or not. You’re still one of the best things to happen to me. And i’ll be damned if anyone other than me or Lan tries to bad mouth you.”

“Be with him.” he corrects.  “Not be his.  You aren’t a property that he can just own, Vi.  The correct term would be ‘It’s not fair to him if I can’t fully be with him’.”  He takes the bottle of sunscreen from her and wiggles his eyebrows at her.

“That’s admirable Violet but I know what type of person I am and I understand why people say about me.  I’m selfish and only care about myself.  I play with people’s feelings on a daily basis, I manipulate to get what I want and lash out more than I should.  I don’t want you to be blinded on how bad I actually am,  I just hope you know that.”

Flashing him a small smile that still reached her eyes she shook her head. “If I told you now the aura of mystery would be gone. But all I know is I’m already in love with him.” Vi said while moving forward.

“Girls never learn do they? Then come to me whining. Like I care that you broke their heart.” She scoffed, “Someone called you a monster once and I thought it was the most absurd thing ever because truly you’re an angel.”

He raises an eyebrow in surprise, “Is that why you and Landon won’t work out?  You’re in love with someone?  Do I know know this someone?”

“You’re joking right?  Monster is actually a compliment;  I’m more comparable to Satan if you think about it.”

“Not much of a secret if even I know it.” She teased, a smirk played at her lips. Watching to see what his response would be she gathered her hair up and twisted it into a bun. “Sunscreen babe?”

“Well, what do you want?” he asks sincerely before licking his lips and chews on his lower lip.

“Everyone knows it, some people just refuse to accept it and believe they can change that about me.” he jokes.  “You know it cutie.”

Sighing she shifted to lay back on the chair. “We tried talking about it, but you know how he is.” Pulling her sunglasses down from on top of her head she sighed. “In love with me or not I just don’t think it’ll work.”

Turning to see his smile the corner of her lips pulled up a twinge. “And not one has managed to hold your attention. How do you do it? What’s your secret?” The teasing tone only hid the giddiness filling her stomach. The words she’s been wanting to say threatening to spill from her mouth.

“Why not?  Landon is pretty much the whole prince charming thing, you know.  Nice dude, good looking, I think he’d buy a white horse if you wanted.” A small chuckle leaving his lips after the last sentence. “C’mon tell me,  I watched you guys get together and do the whole couple thing.  I don’t see why you guys couldn’t work out.”

He stares at her, his eyes slightly softening at the thought of what his response could be before he rolls his eyes and looks away from her.  He pushes up his sunglasses up the bridge of his nose,  “I don’t fall in love, that’s my secret but even you knew that.”

Sitting down on the lounge chair next to Adrien she grabbed the corners of her shirt and pulled it off over her head. “You call it a natural disaster but personally I think Landon got too into his head.” Recalling the conversation she had over the phone with her ex-boyfriend they had while she was in China, a shrug moved through her shoulders confirming her statement.

“What girls have fallen for you Agust? How’ve you managed to fair this summer?”

He rolls his eyes at her statement about his male counterpart; he loved the Slytherin boy but being his best friend gave him a good sight on the doofus that was Landon James.  “He’s in love with you Vi.  This whole thing has caused him to be all doom and gloom again and it’s killing my vibe. Can’t you guys talk it out or something couples do to fix things?”

He can’t help but chuckle at her questions, his eyes looking at her with a genuine smile on his face. “What’s a summer of travel without a couple hundred heartbreaks.  I am Adrién Agust.”

Adrién lied on one of those lounge chairs that sat lazily by his pool, his sunglasses hung off the tip of his nose as his green eyes followed the movement of the person in his line of sight.  He had spent most of the summer travelling with a couple cousins who rather enjoyed the same life style as him. Greece was beautiful, Norway was relaxing, Turkey was an adventure even ended up on Witch Weekly and Spain-- he just never wanted to leave.

Though now here he lied with the sun beaming on him and a couple weeks until school would start again.  “So, I leave for the summer and suddenly Hogwart’s sweethearts have called it quits? Please explain this natural disaster that you call a break up.”

“Yeah, I’m a sixth year,” Harley laughed softly, holding out a hand, “I’m Harley, pleased to meet you.”

“Really?” She raised an eyebrow at the boys offer to help her. “Hey, thanks. Ever since the O.W.L.S last year I’ve figured I should probably get tutoring or something, but never really got around to it,” she gave a shrug. “Never been great with concentration,” she clicked her tongue, “but the easiest charm I know is probably just ‘lumos,’” she offered.

He doesn’t take her hand but just nods as a hello. “Ahh... lumos.”  He had very fond memories with the charm and as the days seem to be nearing graduation he almost felt like he was going to miss this place.  The parties he’s attended, the guys he’s fought with, the girls he’s fucked.  It the walls could talk he’d literally be a pornstar but it didn’t take away the fact that maybe Hogwarts was home after all.

Being so focused on his resemblance to her husband, she almost misses him leaving, but luckily catches him before he leaves. “No, they’re identical i’m sure of it, look!” She quickly pitter patters around the corner to where her staff is propped up against the end of the bookshelf. “I can only use this for magic at the moment… My task here is to learn how to use the wands you use today. But please, just look…”

She shoves the staff closer to him. Although there are different patterns and decorations on her staff, her family’s crest is carved in the most beautiful, deepest markings at the very top of the staff’s stick. “Don’t they look the same? I can’t really seem to find a difference, unless it’s just a trick of the light and I am mistaken…” She tilts her head at him. 

Adrién didn’t like not knowing things it was just like how the emotion of love could scare him more than anything but he knew this royal was whack.  Maybe she was sane once before but she’s been sleeping for centuries and to be frank he thinks eternal sleep must do something to your brain, right?  So all he does is blink, hoping she comprehends that he thinks shes’s a lunatic and he’s slowly going to back the fuck away.
