Honestly I’m a lil surprised how niche of a game and fandom Guild Wars 2 seems to be, especially on tumblr, given that it’s extremely accessible

The base game is free, there’s no sub fee, not even an optional one, and the vast majority of content is just given to you if you have the latest expansion - new episodes every 3-4 months with massive maps and weapon/armour sets, and they just. Give it to you

It has GOOD storytelling? It’s their main focus and it shows? Characters have issues, they’re allowed to show emotion, the plot has been building in a continuous, meaningful way for the last 6 years with rising action and foreshadowing, and the characters change and even age as it goes

Two ladies in the main cast have been in a real on-screen relationship for about 4 years, not to mention a constant array of LGBT background characters who pop up in each new release. Another main character is written as autistic. Of the two dozen or so major and minor human characters added over the past 2 years, every single one has been a POC

You can make choices in the story that change the world around you every so often, encouraging you to roleplay

Species designs are great, the soundtrack is fantastic, the environments are gorgeous

YOU DON’T HAVE TO PAY ANYTHING EVER you can even just download and try it for free if you want then drop it and pick it back up as you please

Something she could never admit before, what with being the littlest since she was a cub at the fahrar up until being a centurion in blood legion. Because of that she’s had to prove herself to others from a young age as being fierce and fearless despite her size. Now that she’s established herself as not-to-be-messed-with, she’s more free to let go a little and appreciate seemingly unimportant things to military culture such as flowers.
