Promised Messiah (as) says we must shun arrogance.
Hazrat Musleh Maood (ra) said: that everyone should remember missionaries in their prayers
Work for Jama’at with Responsibility. Don’t be lazy in this regards. If you are given a task, don’t run away from it. If you respect the work of Jama’at, God will make you respected.
Different Aspects of offering Namaz (Salat)
- Salat-ul-Fajr, Salat in Congregation, How Allah helps us when offer Salat, How it stops from sin,
Friday Sermon June 24, 2016 - Fulfilling Commands of Allah
Friday Sermon during Ramadan - from Baitul Futuh Mosque
Huzoor said: I mentioned I quoted Promised Messiah (as) that for acceptance of prayer, you have to acknowledge that God is all powerful, and secondly we must act upon His commandments.
We need to see what are these commands? For this we need to look at the Holy Quran, as it mentions all actions we need to perform and all the evils that we need to away from
In the same verse which talks about acceptance of prayer, it says you must act upon my commands, it also mentions by doing this you would become a guided person
Should we follow these instructions only in the month of Ramadan? And we do only follow it in this month, can we become guided forever.
Ramadan only comes for reminding us of our duties. In this month we have to do our Tarbiyat (reformation) of ourselves, so that we gain nearness of Allah. This happens in a collective effort nowadays when we see each other performing the same righteous tasks. After Ramadan-ul-Mubarak we need to continue this struggle individually and collectively.
Huzoor said I have selected some commands to remind ourselves what we must do to attain God’s pleasure.
First important command Huzoor reminded of is worshipping Allah the Almighty.
God says in the Holy Quran: I have created Mankind so that they worship Me.
Huzoor says this is the purpose of our creation, and I have reminded many times in my sermons. We remember it for somedays, but later forget it.
Those who are waqfeen (life devotees) & they have the religious knowledge as well. Sometimes they don’t pay full attention to this matter either.
Similarly, Amila members also forget. They remind others in meetings and showoff knowledge. But they don’t act upon the commands.
Huzoor then quoted the Promised Messiah (as), who has said that you should truly worship Allah. The world should not be your ultimate goal (مقصود بالذات). The only reason I keep repeating this, is because this is the very purpose of you coming into this world.
Huzoor explained that: it doesn’t mean we don’t our jobs and businesses. But our goal should always be to fulfill the purpose for which we came into this world.
In month of Ramadan, because of Isha & Taravih prayer many of us sleep around 12 or 12:30. Then we have to wake up at 2:30. Some offer Nafl & then eat sehri. Then Go to Fajr also. If we can perform all these tasks in month of Ramadan, we can do them after too.
Huzoor said we should be counting the days of Ramadan and seeing how many are left. Rather we should be trying to train ourselves so that we continue our good habits later.
The Promised Messiah (as) has said that while we worship Allah and fulfill His rights, we should fulfill the rights of our nafs (or self) as well. But this should be in balance. We should take care of ourselves physically as well, so that we can continue to worship God Almighty for longer period of time.
We should use the abilities and powers given to us by Allah – if we don’t use these powers for the right purpose, we are being ungrateful.
Huzoor said we should fulfill the rights of everyone, but never forget the true purpose. Promised Messiah (as) says while fulfilling the rights of our body and family and performing other worldly matters, we should be careful to keep a balance. Too much of even halal becomes haram. Therefore, we should be ready to accept some difficulties in life for the pleasure of God. One who lives his life in complete luxury, cannot earn the same reward as the person who lives a life of difficulty.
Promised Messiah (as) says that it is extremely sad that there are people who come into this world, when they reach the age of maturity, they forget the purpose of life. They get so engrossed in life that true purpose entirely gets lost. Then they finally remember the purpose when angel of death comes to take their life. (Huzoor added that nowadays people have become so materialistic that even at that point they don’t remember God).
Promised Messiah (as) says we should have an ache in our heart to find God. If we do this, then we would become something worthy or valuable in the sight of God. This should be target of each individual.
Huzoor quoted a verse from Surah Nur: Allah says “such men, whom neither business nor regular buying & selling diverts from the remembrance of Allah and the observance of Prayer, and the giving of the Zakat. They fear a day in which hearts and eyes will be agitated”
Promised Messiah (as) has quoted this verse and mentioned an incident from Tadhkiratul Aulia. It says a saint once saw someone making large business transactions and deals. The saint was shown by God the spiritual condition of this businessman’s heart. He realized that event though he was engaged in worldly matters and large business deals, even then his heart was engaged in remembrance of Allah the Almighty. Nothing had made him unaware of his true purpose.
Promised Messiah (as) says that same is the expectation from each one of us. He gives an example saying that if there is a horse which runs well, but when you put load or weight on it, it falls to the ground. What benefit is such a horse? Therefore we need to become such people who are not only engaged in worldly matters. But with these worldly matters, we are also fulfilling the rights of Allah the Almighty.
Second commandment Huzoor highlighted was regarding Salat-e-Wusta. It says in the Holy Quran: Watch over Prayers, and especially the middle Prayer.
We are reminded to guard all our prayers, but especially our Salat-e-Wusta. This refers to the prayer that is most difficult to offer. It could be different for each individual. For some it could be morning prayer, and for others it could Zuhr or Asr – because it may be coming between our jobs. But we should be extremely watchful and not neglect our prayers.
Next command that Huzoor highlighted was pertaining covenants. We should all make sure that we fulfill our oaths and contracts
Huzoor said that we all have two kinds of pledges. One pledge is with Allah the Almighty of fulfilling the condition of Bai’t, pledge of being a Muslim. Other type of pledge is that we make among ourselves with each other. The promises that we make and the contracts we sign. Huzoor said: fulfill your promises and contracts with one another, and keep the fear of God in minds. If we take care of our pledges, then there wouldn’t be fights and arguments between us, there wouldn’t be family issues and other such problems. Lately, because of worldly greed people are breaking their contracts. It leads to more confrontations and fights. This way we are displeasing God Almighty, and also bringing disgrace to the Jama’at.
Then Huzoor reminded of the command pertaining speaking the truth.
God has said that: shun or avoid the evil of idols, and also avoid speaking lies.
It means that when we are asked to speak, we should speak the truth. We should not make idols of falsehood and lies.
Promised Messiah (as) has said that when people are reminded to stay away from lying, they say we cannot live without it. Promised Messiah (as) gives his own example that I have not had to lie in even one place and God has always protected. God always protects those who speak the truth. Those who get punished, they don’t get punished for speaking truth – but because of their other faults.
Huzoor reminded us of Allah’s command regarding Suppressing anger and forgiving people
Our nature should be such that if someone has done Zulm against us, we should forgive them. And completely forget about their mistake. Promised Messiah (as) has said that Anger causes our brain or عقل to stop working. Those who remain patient and show صبر, they are given a noor (a spiritual light) that enlightens the brain. Those who get angry, are in darkness, and they this darkness clouds their minds.
Anger & wisdom cannot be combined. Such people find no help. We never see such people being successful in lives either.
Promised Messiah (as) says there are two things that make a person mad or crazy in this life: first بدظنی or ill thinking; and secondly غضب or anger. Therefore we should suppress our angers and become forgiving people.
Then Huzoor reminded us to stay away from ill-thinking or بد ظنی
Promised Messiah (as) has said that بد ظنی or ill thinking is such an evil thing that it makes a person blind, and throws him in a pit of darkness ((ایسا شخص ایک تاریکی کے گڑہے میں پھینکا جاتا ہے. For this reason God has warned us against ill-thinking very strictly. If this arises in our hearts, then we should seriously do Istighfar, and seek forgiveness.
Huzoor added that we shouldn’t think of it lightly. It is a serious beemari or an illness.
Next command of Allah the Almighty which Huzoor mentioned was spying on prying on other people. We should avoid تجسس
We should not be inquisitive. Just out of curiosity we should not try to find out what someone is doing, or where they go every day. Or what a certain person said to this other person. Such تجسس or prying in people’s business is against the command of Allah.
Lastly Huzoor reminded us another evil: Backbiting or غیبت
It means that we should not speak ill about someone behind their back. Even if we are speaking the truth, we are committing this sin. If we are lying about someone behind their back, then that is another sin. So even if its truth but something negative, it becomes a sin. God has compared backbiting to eating the flesh or meat of your dead brother.
In conclusion Huzoor prayed that may Allah enable us to act upon all His commands. May we be able to continue the good works we have started in Ramadan. May we become true servants of Allah. Aameen.

Friday Sermon Dec. 11, 2015 - Holy Quran is Peace!
Recently there has been a surge in opposition towards Islam
Huzoor mentioned some present day writers that are accusing Islam or its teachings of Jihad for spreading violence and source of extremism
Referred to Donald Trump also, saying how the candidate is spreading hate regarding Muslims
People (Christians) often say that Islam is a religion of the past. Just like Christianity has had a re-modelling and modifications, Islam needs to modify itself according to time
This proves they don’t regard their Divine books! (Because if from God then why would they need to change. Is God not all-Knowing?)
The Holy Quran has been promised protection: “We have sent it down and we will be its guardian”
The original text is still preserved (when original teachings are presented people appreciate)
When we present our faith, people tell us we need to do more effort so that everyone can realize this is what Islam is
Recent example of Japan - people said you are doing good, but more such work is needed
THEREFORE, in every place, all Ahmadis should strive to do more in spreading the true message. (More exhibitions and open houses)
Huzoor highlighted some peaceful Teachings of Islam:
لا اكراه في الدين
ولو شاء ربك لآمن من في الأرض كلهم جميعا أفأنت تكره الناس حتى يكونوا مؤمنين
Huzoor read a passage of Promised Messiah (as) refuting that Islam was spread through sword. Had it spread that way, Prophet’s companions wouldn’t have made the sacrifices they made.
Promised Messiah (as) said learn the Holy Quran and become such that people are drawn towards Islam, because of they way you exhibit the qualities of Holy Quran
We need to tell the world that they do not need to fear Islam, but they need to fear those who oppose Islam.
It’s another verse highlighting peaceful teachings of Islam - Holy Prophet desired to convert the people, but they didn’t believe. Allah said forgive their transgressions and say “salam” to them. Because they don’t know yet what they are doing.
When Holy Prophet (saw) was instructed in this words, then how diligently should Muslims do this. In surah Furqan all believers are instructed that when ignorant speak to the believers, they say ‘peace’ - this is their recognition.
No one, esepcially Youngsters, today shouldn’t feel inferior because of hatred towards Islam. It is only Holy Quran that gives absolute message of peace. It can end extremism. We should act upon it and show the world its beauties. It is duty of every Ahmadi, male or female, to spread the true message of Quran. The world is at the brink of fire; at any moment it can tip over. To save the world from tipping over, and giving the message of peace to all - this task is only possible for Ahmadis. For this you need to establish a relationship with God. Only then we can ensure peace for our future generations.
آگ ہے پر آگ سے وہ سب بچائے جائیں گے...جو کہ رکھتے ہیں خدائے ذوالعجائب سے پیار
You can save yourself by establishing a relationship with God.
Friday Sermon 4 Dec 2015
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2-3oW8AYRu0
People were anxious to know what new revelation had been sent down to the Promised Messiah (as). Companions used wake up next morning wondering what revelations were revealed last night. Hazrat Musleh Ma’ood (ra) says I had the same feeling, trying to find out every revelation right away
Sometimes Promised Messiah’s companions could hear the revelation too, if they were with him when God spoke
Huzoor mentioned an incident of Syed Fazal Shah sb where a long passage of revelation came to Promised Messiah (as) - Syed Fazal Shah sb wrote the revelation as it was revealed.
It was around the time of Mirza Imam-ud-Din’s case of Wall (Muqadma Deewar). It was popular that Huzoor would lose the case, but Huzoor said God has promised me through this revelation that He would help me succeed.
Huzoor mentioned an incident of Munshi Aroora Khan sb (ra) how he said to an opponent that for him it is not necessary to understand everything. Because he knows
It is not necessary that one understand everything, those who have strong relationship with Allah, they understand without arguments and miracles
The name Munshi “aroora” Khan - meaning and purpose
Incidents of Companions showing love for Promised Messiah (as)
Huzoor said some people used to visit Qadian to enhance their spirituality, they would stay for days and feel a difference in their moral state. Yet there were some who came with wrong motives and left unfulfilled. One incident: a person came to Qadian and stayed for only a day and left. The whole time he was there he kept thinking about smoking Hukka (Hooka) but never had a chance because schedule was busy. He left and said “shareef” people have no business in Qadian.
Huzoor mentioned the state of the world, how its heading towards world war III - asked members to pray and stock ration at home.
Friday Sermon 19-Nov-2015 (from Nagoya Japan)
Bait-ul-Ahad, The Japan Mosque
Huzoor recited 22:42
First mosque of Ahmadiyya jama’at. It is a blessed event, but not something to be extremely proud of. There are so many mosques built by non-Ahmadis in Japan already.
Ahmadis are proudly saying this is the largest mosque of Japan. Just this doesn’t fulfill our purpose. We need to be fulfilling the purpose Promised Messiah came for - connecting with God, and serving mankind.
We should be spreading the message of Islam to each person of this nation.
When Japan achieved independence, they started caring for religion. Promised Messiah heard of this and asked Ahmadis to spread the message of Islam & Ahmadiyyat to them. He said, Other non-Ahmadis (Muslims and non-Muslims) can’t benefit the locals of Japan religiously, because their religions are spiritually dead. Their religions are not alive today. Huzoor said, certain people should be prepared for this mission of Japan. He even desired to write a book for the Japanese.
You guys are fortunate people that you have been sent to this country. Nearly all of you are flourishing here (in comparison to Pakistan).
If you wish to establish greatness of Islam, then you have to establish a relationship with God - because only then you can show a living religion.
For the spread of Islam, those people are needed who have firm faith in God. Whose standards of worship are high!
The other Muslims, are contrary to the teachings of Islam. Instead of gaining nearness to Allah, they are becoming violent. The events that took place in Paris recently, are extremely unfortunate. It is because of lack of relationship with God.
Now that you have built a mosque, look at your own condition and become active in Tabligh.
Promised Messiah (as) has said that if you wish to preach the message of Islam, then build a mosque in that city.
now that you have built a mosque, get active in Tabligh. Media already gave you coverage when you built this mosque. Why does media give you coverage? It is because we present a different image of Islam from rest of the people, the image which was origianally presented by the Holy Prophet Muhammad (saw).
You should be gaining nearness to Allah, and setting an example for everyone by coming closer and loving one another.
If we are not near Allah, then our claims are false that we will conquer the world. Our belief in Promised Messiah (reformer) is false.
The verse recited at beginning (22:42) highlights that when we are strengthened (as we are through Khilafat), then we should be observing Salat, spending in His way, and giving good teachings to Mankind.
Tamkinat in this verse means awe (رعب) as in unity. As we are today. As for governments, one day they will become servants of Allah. But already Allah has put awe in hearts of governments that they listen to our words.
We need to be continuously observing ourselves, so that we become true believers as explained in the verse.
There are many who claim to follow every command of Khalifatul-Masih. But when you are asked to get rid all disputes and arguments, you make excuses. Therefore, to become role models for others by reviewing yourselves. Only then you can truly be doing: نہی عن المنکر
You all are appreciated as a peaceful community; isn’t it more suitable for you all to love and care for one another and truly be models for everyone?
In verse 9:112 - first condition to be a good believer is ‘repentance’ - then fulfill the condition of ‘Worshiping’. Huzoor quoted 51:57 that worshiping is for rich (jin) and poor (ins). Therefore those who made great contribution financially, they are not exempt from worshiping Allah.
After worshiping, next condition praising Allah. He has bestowed great blessings upon you. Praise him in every regard. Even in time of distress and trouble.
Next it says doing رکوع - bowing to Allah. Don’t be those who claim to be servants of Allah. But rather be those who are servants of Allah.
Next become sajid. Bowing is not the only sajdah. But bowing before Him, and seeking His pleasure is true sajdah. And sacrificing everything, and obeying Nizam-e-Jama’at in His way is real sajda.
When you fulfill all these conditions, then excel in Tabligh. Those who are wasting themselves for the world, bring them towards Ahmadiyyat. And save them from displeasure of Allah.
True believers as mentioned in the Holy Quran are those abide by all hudood - limits - of Allah. Thus, pay attention to those commands mentioned in the Holy Quran, said by the Holy Prophet, the Promised Messiah (as) and his successors. God has given glad tidings to those who do these things.
God has given us the blessing of MTA. Therefore, utizlize this source of moral upbringing. This is the best way of connecting children to Khilafat. If you wish to protect your children then watch MTA. Don’t blame local administration and Murabbian for not providing tarbiyyat. Even non-Ahmadis write to me saying they watch my programs for tarbiyyat of their children.
Some people have habit of finding faults in others. Instead of this, be beneficial to society. Office bearers should remove all internal disputes and become united and loving for one another. Then you would be able to convey the message. If you don’t stop criticizing you would be destroying your own homes.
You have established a mosque, but it is not enough.
To Japanese Ahmadis, I would say that learn the faith. Don’t look at faults of other Ahmadis. God is not family-relative of anyone. Therefore, look to improve yourselves.
I hope that this mosque will help you all realize your responsibilities.
1000 squared meters - 2 story building. Right on the main road of this area. Close to two Highways. Train station is nearby too. Mosque’s name that I gave is Baitul Ahad. Tiles from Masjid Mubarak and Darul Masih are also put in the foundation here for blessings. Capacity of 500. Property was purchased, but then Minarets and Dome were installed to make it look more like a mosque. It is the first mosque in Japan, China Malaysia region for Jama’at. It cost about 130 million yen (closer to $1.2 million). Roughly half the grant came from markaz, rest was raised here locally by the small jama’at.
There were some complications at the beginning in getting permit for this mosque. And people thought of giving up. But support from locals miraculously helped. I would say that this should be a sign of faith for believers, and it should help the locals improve themselves.
There are incidents of spending in the way of God for this mosque. (Huzooor mentioned a few) - one young khadim who earned 80,000 yens, and he was donating 50,000 yen monthly. One great sacrifice was by a little girl who was collecting gifts (different curencies) from families over time, she gave all those gifts in the way of the mosque which was $9,000. (there are more mentioned)
May Allah ta’ala accepts all the sacrifices. One non-Ahmadi Japanese found out that international guests are coming for opening of this mosque, they offered their 3-story house for guests. Another friend gave offered their parking lot. Another few non-Ahmadi friends decorated the mosque with flowers according to Japanese tradition. Some waived their fees because the work was being done for a mosque.
Huzoor mentioned some Media reports that acknowledged Jama’at’s services towards Japan while mentioning the opening of this mosque.
All Ahmadis should realize their responsibilities and they should be spreading this message that Islam is a religion of love and peace. And that our mosques are symbols of these values.
Germany - Sadiq Mosque Foundation Stone Ceremony (Nordhorn)
At the ceremony held for laying down the foundation stone of a mosque in Nordhorn, Germany, Hazrat Khalifatul Masih V (aba) said:
Same is the purpose of the mosque. All those who are coming in to the mosque, they should live peacefully in it, and they should provide peace to its neighbors as well. When someone moves into a neighborhood, they are expected to live peacefully in their house and care for others’ rights as well. Or else neighbors would kick out such person from their community.
Thus, our mosque is being built to fulfill the two purposes: rights of Allah, rights of people.
