Ugh, forgot to add my thoughts b4 reblogging. I hope no one thinks I endorse this kind of position.
Anyways, queer erasure is the systemic removal or misrepresentation of queer people in records and history. People need to stop using it for 'Waaah I don't like this ship'. It's an actual, insidious societal issue happening right now, where memorials and records of queerness are being taken down to portray it as a modern or new phenomenon.
Fan-works cannot be queer erasure. They are unofficial, derivative works that have no effect on the actual canon. And even if anyone was canonically queer in HSR (which only applies to Bronya/Seele), works exploring otherwise would still be acceptable (if done tactfully) because the point of fan-works is to explore concepts not touched on by the main media. Trans, aroace, and bisexual interpretations also exist.
People need to grow up and stop trying to use 'you're homophobic if you don't like this headcanon' as a selling point. It just tells me your ship sucks and is a bore.
