Lamborghini Aventador @ Tatsumi PA
Seeing unadorned Lamborghini is such a treat. They really are spectacular, well made, and great performing cars. Plus, the feeling of blasting around the Shutoko, particularly through the tunnels, is something to be experienced - even if there are only flappy paddles to use.
Though, the Shutoko is a little small and tight for a Lamborghini these days; they feel too wide against the trucks, and too fast for the tight turns and lane changes. Second gear is about all you get to use…
In Tokyo, we regularly see the blinged-out narcissists everywhere, so seeing a real Lamborghini is actually exciting and really neat. No stickers. No diamante. No neon. No fake titanium exhausts. No LEDs. No velour interiors. No strobes. No drugged cats on the dashboard. No Mickey Mouse cardigans.
These guys did not know each other, had a good laugh about the coincidence, and neither arrived or departed with anything more than regular, gloriously toned, noise.
That’s cool…
