it’s the way that kaz is literally a mastermind thief who has to keep secrets to himself all of the time, but he trusts inej so much to the point where he just let it slip that he gave the crow club to heleen and then dirtyhands freaked out and RAN because he was scared of what inej would do. kaz brekker is scared of inej ghafa and that’s canon. good for him.

Ok so Kaladin is possibly the most feminine character in the entire stormlight archive, no exaggeration, yes that includes the female characters. By Rosharan standards his creativity and intelligence is super feminine, Adolin even says he speaks like a girl, and he’s designed tattoos and logos showing an artistic ability which is ‘girly’ both in and out of world.
One of the values he’s meant to basically personify is ‘Protecting’, and he is nurturing and caring towards pretty much everyone throughout the books, attributes associated with femininity and maternal love. He likes feeling clean and pretty.
He can fly, a stereotypically feminine superpower. He is interested in medicine and wants to heal people (again normally a feminine attribute in the media), and he does everything he does because of the deep love he has for the world. He is incredibly emotional.
And none of these characteristics are ever portrayed as bad. Men in fantasy books like Kaladin, strong with a tragic past, are expected to be toxic masculinity personified. Kaladin as a character is gloriously subversive. To see feminine traits presented as good, as the reason for a character’s success, especially a male character, is honestly revolutionary.
