12 Months to The Road to Mastery
The road to mastery is one I will never forget. It was indeed a challenge for me. It was twelve months of training, education, and self-evaluation. My last class Final Presentation and Thesis required strategic thinking and complete dedication. The main assignment this month was to complete my capstone project thesis. This assignment was a complete portfolio of research data that was gathered over the last year. I remembered doing most of the research, however, as I saw the information come together I realized I put a lot of work toward becoming a master. Honestly, this month’s class alone taught me more than I expected. It not only taught me academically it also encouraged ways that built my character. As I reach the end of the year of my graduate degree, I realize I learned and accomplished more in the last 12 years than I ever thought of. I now have a sense of assurance from my acquired education. This year has polished my skills as a Public Relations Professional. It has also open my eyes to new opportunities, and created a willingness to grow in the field of technology.
If you recall, I was not the best technical savvy person. However, on this journey I was forced to become an expert in the field. Everyday presented much challenge; however, pursing this degree in some ways made me a better person. In more ways than one, for instance, I am much more of a planner, I look carefully at all details, and when creating any piece whether writing and or multimedia I am strategic. I can attest that I have learned what the road to mastery looks like. For the inquisitive, the road to mastery looks like a lot of hills, mountains, and curves; however, the journey down the path is so worth taking the ride.
