Evaluation (B&B)

For this project I think we were all faced with many struggles. The groups weren’t as familiar, and in my groups case, that was okay. Of course we didn’t agree on everything but there was nothing we couldn’t compromise or build upon, introducing a new idea. I enjoy working in my group but I also found it hard. It was hard to document everything in a group because you split the work load up and share most bits but not always all of it, because it’s a lot. I prefer working alone in all honesty because I can work at random times and procrastinate a bit. But in a group you have a schedule of things to get done and do because no one wants to be the deadweight.

I think our idea was a good concept but I think it was not executed as well as it could have been. First the time, for a project like this I think we had not enough time in the studio which I’m going to blame on the fashion students. Had we had more time I think our photos would’ve been better. I also think had been able to use more photoshop it would’ve been better because surrealism, which it was I gathered this project was. But considering we could’ve I’m pleased with our current results.

The hand is our consistent feature in all our images as well. At the last minuet as well we further developed our idea with the fairy tales. Using an image to link it to another. For example the top one (sleeping beauty) will link to Alice in Wonderland because of the floating cards. And the mirror shards, although very Snow White, also links to the Snow Queen, another story of ours.

The hand is supposed to symbolise the villains or the readers becoming so immersed in the world that they are [believing] they are in it. Next week when we come in we’ll take the photos into photoshop. To get rid of the lines, breaking floor from background and the fishing wire.

Exhibition.

Honestly we need to have another meeting about this. Also I didn’t say but we’re each brining in a pound to entice people to come to the exhibition. :D
