I'm playing around with MidJourney - its a tool that can generate images from text prompts. Everything you see on this blog was created by machine.

I really enjoy letting the AI get creative and seeing how it interprets human ideas like ‘love’ and ‘comfort’.

I showed a friend Midjourney and this was her suggestion... I wasn’t sure what she intended, but it turned out bizarre and wonderful.

Prompt: “Giant old computer in a secret bunker, Ominous” I provided the AI with a photo of 1950s computer equipment and a photo of the Chernobyl control panel - this is what it produced. I was aiming for what you’d find in Fallout but more realistic, so its spot on.

This was generated with a lot of different modifiers to test them out - in addition to the text prompt I also asked that it have “Amiga OCS Graphics”, and not be blurry or out of focus.

This was an example from Midjourney’s documents - __ in the style of a __ album cover. I love it but have no clue what kind of music this would be.

Prompt: “A Landscape In the Valley, majestic, shot on 70mm” I provided a generic photo of some mountains and hills, then the AI produced this with the above prompt - it looks lovely! I’ve also included a video of it making the art.
