was it actually… ever confirmed when hizashi came up with his own hero name? like, did he come up with aizawa’s before his own??? because no one called him mic in high school from what i remember. and in vigilantes he does insist on being called mic instead of yamada but that’s only…. after graduation???? in high school he was fine being called by his actual name but afterwards he insists on people only calling him mic???

what if he came up with aizawa’s hero name before his own. what if.

okay so i went back and looked and found a few things in the flashback arc in vigilantes.

in their second year, mic did have his hero name

however, this little box is the only reference to that. he is not called by his hero name one fucking time in that arc. aizawa and shirakumo are both called by their hero names while in their internship, but mic is not. i checked and there’s not one single instance of it. not even his homeroom teacher, fellow interns, or mentors call him by his hero name.

even in the flashbacks to their third year post-shirakumo, still no one calls him mic

but in “current timeline” vigilantes, mic insists over and over on being called by his hero name and not his actual name. 

so i guess now my question is less of when he chose his hero name and more why he now hates going by his legal name and insists on only being called mic
