When I was hired to design the renovation of a 40+ year old house in St. James, my plan, as always, was to save as much of the existing building as possible, it saves money and some of the original context. Unfortunately, time wasn’t so kind to her so the existing structure is beyond saving.. Gotta share the Christmas 2020 decor before it comes down. This one is definitely one of my favorites. # Christmas throwback I can’t believe this was 15 years ago. Fresh outta college with no tree money, I decided to make my own tree with a few yards of brown cotton (unbleached muslin) and some black wall paint. This was the first time I decided to DIY my Christmas tree, now it’s become my tradition. Every year I make some sort of Christmas motif, sometimes it’s a tree, sometimes it something else. Maybe in 5 years, I’ll remix this design. When life gives you steel beams, build a water feature. Sooooo modern. Really loving the double spillway action. The fabricator finally finished and I couldn’t be happier.
