the white beach dress danced along with the light summer breeze , while kennedy was sipping on her mojito on the bar . taking for an excuse , the great weather , she sat herself down on the beach bar , and tried to figure out a way to fix the villa she was planning to stay in for the rest of the summer . leaning in , to rest her chin in the palm of her hand , while still determinately sipping the alcoholic cocktail through the straw , her gaze moved across the bar - noticing a face , that was too familiar to ignore . squinting her eyes , behind the huge chanel glasses , she straightened her posture and used her hand to move the accessory over her head and away from her eyes , as to see the male figure better . “ hey , “ she called out , before having the chance to give the encounter a second thought , “ aren’t you the son of that .. washed out actress ? “ she asked , trying her best to remember the name mrs. lennox would never shut up about , and kennedy would never fail to ignore . “ what was her face ? “ she mumbled more to herself , than the stranger , while waiting for his response .

the cute brunette working behind the bar takes special care preparing his order. she pops the top off the beer bottle, carefully slices a wedge of fresh lime and takes entirely too much time folding a simple napkin. she’s all smiles when she slides the drink and napkin over. despite his thanks, she lingers a moment too long, much to the dismay of her partner hollering for her attention. throwing her a bone, he lets a slow grin slide across his lips and her cheeks flush a bright red. she stumbles over a few unspoken words before spinning on her heels and finally rushing over her help her floundering partner. he’s still shaking his head in amusement when a voice grabs his attention. he turns his head lazily - he’s in no rush these days - and eyes the girl occupying the seat just down from his. aren’t you the son of that washed up actress? he’s not sure what he was expecting, but it’s certainly not that. he can’t help the snort of amusement that falls from his lips. washed up is certainly accurate. he takes a sip of his beer and shrugs. “only when page six says so.”
